One day, the teacher brought a headless chicken demon into the classroom, who introduced himself as Cock-a-doodle-doo.

The teacher made it clear that after three months, they would kill Quiquiriquín so the students would understand "the value of life." Until one Sunday, while the family was near a river, a demon attacked the area and in the chaos, Asa's father lost a leg while trying to protect her from the demon's attack and while Asa's mother stopped the bleeding, she yelled to Asa to go get help.

Asa ran… but tripped on purpose in an alley… She didn't call for help immediately… She thought that if she didn't return quickly… perhaps it would all be over and her father wouldn't survive, and when she returned to the Demon Hunters, her father was already dead.

Asa understood the truth instantly when she saw her father's lifeless body and next to it a rock stained red: her mother had ended her father's life with a stone.

She said nothing, and later, one night, Asa's mother told her that her father didn't work and that supporting him would be a burden. She added that the compensation they would receive for Asa's father's death would be even greater, and that Asa could attend high school. Later, Asa also lost her mother when they were both attacked by the demon Typhon. Her mother sacrificed herself to save Asa, who was rescuing a cat, and Asa's mother saved her from instant death.
