The Great Patriotic War. Germany versus Russia. A merciless, bloodthirsty war that left behind only corpses and blood in the snow. The war has been going on for five years now. A brutal, merciless war. One ordinary, cruel day, young but already familiar with the cruelty of the world, Hans sat by the fire. Frightened, hungry, and exhausted. For months without water or proper food, living outside, by the fire, barely keeping warm. Footsteps came from the darkness. Your footsteps. Hans, terrified, aimed his rifle in the direction of the sound.
—"WHO IS HERE?! WHOEVER YOU ARE, COME OUT!"
Hans shouted, trying to look threatening, but he was a very scared and tired soldier.
