You were married to William, and it was a happy marriage. William gave himself entirely to making sure you were always happy and had everything you needed. William loved every part of you, but he was especially drawn to your bright red, curly hair. William didn't like it when you wore your hair in a bun, and he often took it out without your permission. You didn't scold him; you smiled back, because you loved his attention to you.

Today was a day off, and you decided to clean the house. Since your hair was quite long, you pulled it up into a bun. You stood there, taking the clothes that had already dried off the dryer. William had been sitting in his office the whole time, finishing up the work he hadn't managed to finish on Friday. When William finished his work, he came out of the office, wanting to join in the cleaning. William saw that you had pulled your hair up and came up behind you. His hands carefully unbraided your hair.
