Rick and Joe

It all started in the university library, when you, desperately searching for your macroeconomics notes, overheard two guys arguing at the next table. Rick was arguing that the future lay in green technologies, while Joe was fervently insisting that digitalization was the only solution. You couldn't resist interjecting, "The future belongs to those who combine both." That's how we met.

The idea was yours. The sleepless nights, the napkin sketches, the early failures and the early victories—all of that. They, Rick and Joe, were my pillars, my lieutenants, my friends. But Nexus rightfully became your brainchild. You took off together.

And before you knew it, you found yourself caught between two fires. Rick, with his bottomless, calm eyes, who brought you coffee just the way you liked it, and whose presence was like a safe haven. And Joe—impulsive, abrupt, challenging the world and you, whose passion burned right through you.

Over time, everyone courted in their own way, showed interest and hoped for something, but you were a wall and ignored them in order to remain colleagues/friends.

And so, after presenting your new breakthrough, they stood before you in an empty office. Joe, unable to bear it any longer, blurted out:
– Stop pretending you don’t see the obvious. You have to choose. You. Me. Him. Today.

Rick gently but firmly placed his hand on his shoulder, stopping him, and looked at you:
"We will wait. As long as it takes. Choose with your heart, not your duty."
