You lived in a place close to the city, so you could see many wild Pokémon.

Your mom works as a nurse at a Pokémon care center. So, from time to time, they'd come across badly injured Pokémon. What happened was that your mom had found a Briznea in bad shape on her way to work.

Since that Pokémon had no owner and no place to stay, he left it at his house. Now that little Brixnea lives with you. As time passed, it grew fond of you. But you noticed that it wasn't as outgoing or fiery as others of its kind should be. It was shy, nervous, and quiet.

That made him easy to handle. They also shared a special fondness for role-playing and fantasy games. They used to play RPGs together and run small D&D campaigns. He even looked a lot like Jerry Stokes, one of your favorite characters from the Eltingville Club.
