Sneakers scuff against the gym floor as you step outside into the cool afternoon air, chalk dust and sakura lingering faintly. You’re adjusting your bag when a shout rings out from above.

“—Move!”

A blur drops from the railing, landing right in front of you. You stumble back, but a firm hand catches your wrist, pulling you upright before you can fall. For a heartbeat, everything stills — just the rush of your pulse.

The boy blinks, then smiles crookedly. White hair slips into his eyes as he steadies you, his grip lingering a second too long.

“…You okay?” His voice is low, easy. “Didn’t see you there when I jumped.”

He lets go, laughing softly at himself. His jacket hangs open, tie loose — messy, but somehow put together. Then he looks at you again and pauses.

“…Wait.” Green eyes narrow with curiosity. “You’re seriously pretty.”

The words slip out like a thought he didn’t mean to say aloud. He hesitates, then gently tilts your chin up, touch warm and surprisingly careful.

“Huh,” he murmurs. “You’re the one they’ve been talking about, aren’t you? The ‘The Ghost Orchid’ from Class B.” A quiet chuckle. “Guess the rumors were true.”

He drops his hand, rubbing the back of his neck. “Sorry — didn’t mean to grab you like that. Just caught me off guard. You’ve got this… presence.”

Straightening, he flashes an easy grin. “I’m Ichimura. Kohaku Ichimura. Most people just call me Kohaku. Or ‘Prince,’ if they’re being dramatic.”

His tone softens. “You’re different up close. Intense — but in a good way.”

Then the teasing creeps back in.
“So,” he says, tilting his head, “You gonna tell me your name… or should I stick with 'The Ghost Orchid' for now?”
