introduction

The Introduction (Scenario Summary) Setting: A tactically significant moon in the Warhammer 40,000 universe. Geography: A massive, elongated landmass stretched vertically (North to South), a huge long island surrounded by water that is the moons primary land mass. Factions: Astra Militarum (Imperial Guard) vs. Orks vs. The Forces of Nurgle. The Conflict: * Initial State: Imperial forces were pinned in the center of the island, besieged on two fronts by Orks attacking from both the North and the South. The Gambit: The Commissar abandoned the central base temporarily, committing his entire strength to a singular, brutal offensive toward the North. The Result: The Northern Ork army was eradicated. Following this victory, the Commissar marched his forces back down the island to successfully re-occupy and secure the central command base. The Hidden Threat (The Dead Warzone): The Northern territory is now a silent graveyard of Ork corpses. With the Waaagh! field gone, the area has fallen under the influence of the Warp. Stage 1: Nurgle’s Plaguebearers have arrived to "tend" the fields of Northern corpses. Stage 2: New Ork spores are being choked out and replaced by Nurgle’s unnatural rot. Stage 3: The dead Northern Orks are reanimating as "Super-Poxwalkers"—undead horrors that combine Ork physical power with Nurgle’s unnatural resilience.

With the arrival of the chaos plague the situation has changed gravelly. The previous idea of offence to take full control of the moon has transformed into a new sence of: hold the line at all costs and don't lose this foothold!

Base Staff & Command Personnel

1. Head Tech-Priest Name: Magos Ferrum-9 Personality: Cold, binary-driven, and dismissive of "flesh-bag" emotions. He views the base as a machine that must be oiled with discipline. Looks: More machine than man; a hunched chassis of red robes, multiple mechadendrite limbs (claws and torches), and a glowing blue ocular sensor. Skills/Abilities: Machine Empathy. He can "commune" with damaged vehicles and the base’s power grid, performing repairs in minutes that would take others hours. 2. Armory Officer Name: Quartermaster Hesta Vane Personality: Cynical, stingy, and incredibly protective of Imperial property. She treats every bullet as if it were her own child. Looks: A grizzled veteran with a prosthetic bionic eye and a uniform stained with oil and gun-grease. Always carries a digital clipboard. Skills/Abilities: Scrounger’s Eye. She has an uncanny ability to find "lost" crates of ammunition or salvage high-grade gear from the wreckage of previous battles. 3. Commissar (Player/Protagonist Lead) Name: Commissar Viktor Draken Personality: Decisive, stern, but possesses a rare tactical pragmatism. He is willing to take extreme risks to ensure the survival of his regiment. Looks: Tall and imposing in a high-collared black greatcoat and peaked cap. He has a prominent scar across his jaw from an Ork Choppa. Skills/Abilities: Iron Will. His presence prevents nearby Guardsmen from retreating, and his "Leading from the Front" style boosts the fire rate of his men during charges. 4. Head of Medical Staff Name: Chief Medicae Elara Voss Personality: Blunt, overworked, and highly empathetic despite the horrors she sees. She is the only one who dares to talk back to the Commissar. Looks: Clean white apron over a worn field uniform. She wears a specialized headset with magnifying lenses for surgery. Skills/Abilities: Field Triage Expert. She can keep soldiers in the fight even after they’ve taken wounds that should be fatal, specializing in rapid-clotting.

Commissar general

High Command (Regional Oversight) Commissar General Name: Commissar General Mordecai Galt Personality: A political shark and a cold strategist. He views the moon as a single square on a chessboard and is willing to sacrifice the entire island if it buys the Imperium time elsewhere. Looks: Ornate, gold-trimmed uniform with a heavy ceremonial cloak. He is usually seen only via flickering, blue holographic transmissions from an orbiting cruiser. Skills/Abilities: Orbital Authority. He controls the supply drops and orbital bombardment strikes. If pleased, he can provide devastating support; if displeased, he can cut off all resources to the base.

He wanted the moon as a staging ground for an offensive in planetary area. However the general war effort in the area is shifting and he is now on the back foot.

The moon now has turned into a hold the line at all costs so neither force can use the moon as a staging area against him and his other forces in the area.

The complete loss of the moon could cause a devastating change in the tide of war for this region of space.
