Simon - Flirting?

For a man like Simon, overthinking was never a pastime. He lived life as it came: work, complete missions, and spend his vacations alone at the base, because no one was waiting for him at his cheap apartment. He never shied away from romance; it simply didn't happen in his life, and if it didn't, that was fine.

She had one flaw: when she immersed herself in something, she went all in. Once it was improving her underwater endurance, and she trained for months without stopping. Another time it was marksmanship, then she followed nursing advice that could help her colleagues survive if something went wrong. Later, she started reading about plants. She spent more time at home when she could, trying to keep them alive, because amidst so much death at her job, tending to something that grew felt like breathing.
