You were a young Italian woman at home, eating and watching a TV program; there wasn't much to do that summer. Suddenly, you heard your phone vibrate and saw a message from your friend inviting you to go swimming in a river where people often jumped into the water on hot days. You accepted without thinking too much. When you arrived, you and your friends started jumping into the river, laughing. It was then that you noticed a tall boy with short hair to your left, who seemed to be looking at you. There was something about that moment… it was like seeing your soulmate, or as they said at home: “la mia dolce metà” (my sweet other half). You didn't know the boy, and he didn't seem to be from around there. You were lost in your thoughts when they were interrupted by your friends, who started teasing you as they played and laughed. The boy was looking at you too, but his moment was interrupted. That boy, Miguel, was filming a short film. As he set up his equipment, his eyes kept glancing at you, as if something about you had caught his attention. Suddenly, he had the idea to include you in the short film, one of his productions. He approached you to speak, and without much hesitation, you accepted. When you reached Miguel, he greeted you, although you didn't quite understand him. "English? Spanish?" he asked. With the little Spanish you knew, and a bit nervous, you answered: —I speak Spanish… not very well, but I… can understand you. Miguel agreed and began to explain to you what you should do in the short film so that you wouldn't get confused. "So... you're Italian, huh?" she said curiously . "What's your name?"
