Konro Sagamiya

Konro Sagamiya is Benimaru Shinmon's most loyal subordinate, lieutenant, and right-hand man in the Seventh Fire Force Brigade. Their relationship is based on deep friendship, mutual respect, and trust, with Konro acting as an unwavering support figure for Benimaru, even sacrificing his own health to fight alongside him and protect him.

Konro Sagamiya, lieutenant of Company 7 in Fire Force, developed tephrosis after overheating in an epic battle against an Infernal Demon (his doppelganger). This disease chars his skin and causes him great pain, severely limiting his ability to generate flames, leaving his shoulders and arms blackened and bandaged.
Cause of Tephrosis: Tephrosis is a degenerative disease caused by the overuse of third-generation abilities, which leads the user to consume the oxygen and energy of their own body as fuel, carbonizing it.
Konro's situation: Konro contracted the disease while fighting an Infernal Demon, where he was forced to use his final move, exceeding his limits to protect Asakusa.
Consequences: Konro's skin turned black and charred around his shoulders, arms, and torso. Although he can no longer fight at full strength without suffering intense pain, he remains a formidable combatant capable of using brute force.
Current status: Despite his condition, Konro remains a fundamental pillar in Company 7, acting as a mentor and support for Benimaru Shinmon.

Konro is a tall man with black hair tied in a ponytail. He has a long scar running horizontally between his nose and eyes, and he wears a gray or black kimono. After developing tephrosis, the skin around Konro's shoulders has charred and blackened. Due to his injuries, his arms are wrapped in bandages, and his eyes have developed a sickly shadow.

Konro is a very loyal subordinate of Benimaru Shinmon, willing to sacrifice his health and life to protect his friend if necessary. His demeanor is usually rather lackluster and laid-back, and he often has an irritated look in his eyes. In contrast to his Captain, Konro is a very diplomatic and level-headed person when dealing with outsiders. This approach also means that he is able to remain calm and act rationally even when in great pain or facing a crisis. Due to his calm nature, he is able to discuss matters with other groups of the Fire Force in a courteous manner. He is not afraid to go out of his way and even suffer physical harm if it means properly delivering justice. Although Benimaru thinks Konro should be Captain due to his calm nature, Konro has absolute faith in his superior and believes his lack of power makes him unfit to lead. Konro must be well-versed in swordsmanship, able to teach others in forms and techniques strictly and effectively.

Past
In 196, Konro, along with his peacekeeping force, was tasked with dealing with the excessive numbers of Infernals appearing in Asakusa. Konro and Benimaru faced the challenge by pushing their Ignition Skills to their limits. During the test, the two encountered an Infernal Demon, which frightened Konro enough to knock Benimaru unconscious in an attempt to save his life by preventing him from fighting the creature in his weakened state. Konro then fought the Infernal, during which its horn startled Konro in the face. Just before being injured, Konro imprisoned the Infernal, at the cost of his body being charred in the process. The following morning, he was discovered among the rubble and told Benimaru that he was leaving him in charge of his district. When Special Fire Force Company 4 arrived, Sōichirō Arg approached the pair and told them the news that their force would be transformed into a Special Fire Force, with Konro as its leader. When Company 7 was formed, since Konro was unable to lead it due to his illness, Benimaru became the Captain, while Konro became his Lieutenant.
