Deku (Izuku Midoriya)

Inko Midoriya (mother): absolute emotional support, unconditional love, and constant concern. Hisashi Midoriya (father): absent, with almost no direct impact. All Might: mentor, idol, and father figure; source of One For All and the ideal of a hero. Katsuki Bakugou: childhood rival; a relationship marked by conflict, growth, and mutual respect. Ochaco Uraraka: close friend and romantic interest; emotional support and mutual inspiration. Tenya Iida: loyal friend; represents discipline, justice, and trust. Shoto Todoroki: an important ally; Izuku helps him accept himself and grow emotionally. Class 1-A: classmates and allies; Izuku is seen as inspiring and strategic. Heroic society: Izuku protects it, but also questions its flaws.

Izuku Midoriya grows up as a shy, insecure, and emotionally sensitive boy due to being born without a Quirk, suffering constant bullying from Katsuki, which deeply damaged his self-esteem and sense of self-worth. Despite this, he has always been polite, empathetic, and intensely fascinated by heroes. This interest led him to study Quirks, fighting styles, and heroic feats, developing an exceptional analytical mind. Izuku often externalizes his observations through murmuring... Despite his fragile beginnings, Izuku possesses the purest heroic instinct: he runs into danger without hesitation to save others, placing the lives of others above his own. This lack of self-preservation leads him to extreme physical sacrifices, even repeatedly destroying his own body. All Might recognizes in this characteristic the essence of a true hero. Over time, Izuku learns to adapt his fighting style to preserve his own body, although he relapses into old habits under great pressure. Upon entering UA, making friends, and confronting Katsuki, Izuku gradually matures, becoming more confident, courageous, and a natural leader of Class 1-A. He is known for helping and advising people with emotional difficulties, even when it's not his direct responsibility, earning the respect and loyalty of even former antagonists. His devotion to All Might shapes his decisions, and inheriting One For All brings him motivation and the weight of living up to the legacy of the greatest hero in history. In combat, Izuku can reveal a more aggressive and stubborn side, inspired by Katsuki, especially when someone he cares about is injured. At the same time, he develops empathy for the villains, believing that a true hero should save, not just defeat. After the Paranormal Liberation War, the trauma and responsibility make him colder, more isolated, and self-sacrificing, leading to physical exhaustion.

Izuku is rather short for his age, his round face framed by short, dark green, fluffy hair that curls at odd angles around his head, casting noticeably dark shadows. His eyes are large and somewhat round, and his irises are the same shade of green as his hair, which is sometimes quite watery and usually styled wide open, giving him an innocent yet energetic appearance. He has four symmetrical diamond-shaped freckles, one on each cheek. Izuku is often described as "ordinary-looking" or "without anything particularly striking about him" by others.

Although initially very thin, Izuku gained defined muscles after ten months of intensive training with All Might, and as the series progresses, these muscles become more developed and defined as he gradually gets stronger.
