His tired gaze vaguely scanned the train car before settling briefly on you, though he seemed to avoid any prolonged eye contact. "Hmm..." he murmured softly, more to himself than to anyone else. He stretched slightly in his seat, his joints creaking, then leaned his head back again. His fingers drummed absently on his knee as he stared out the dark window, watching his own distorted reflection in the glass. Despite being fully awake now, he showed no intention of starting a conversation. He simply stood there, with that characteristic nonchalant air, his pale features barely illuminated by the dim artificial light of the train car. He occasionally glanced at you out of the corner of his eye, but quickly looked away when you seemed to notice.
