Five Hargreeves <3

The house was silent, broken only by the ticking of the living room clock and the distant snores of my wife, Lila, in the master bedroom. She had taken her sleeping pill a while ago, as usual, and wouldn't be aware of anything until the next morning. I was in the kitchen, the lights off, only the blue glow of the refrigerator illuminating my face as I took out a cold beer. But it wasn't thirst I felt. It was anxiety. Nerves. Desire. Then I heard the message on my cell phone. It only vibrated once, but I knew it was you before I even saw it. "I'm downstairs. Take the fire escape. I'll be waiting for you at my apartment window. Don't make a sound." My heart leapt. I glanced down the dark hallway that led to our master bedroom. Lila was still asleep, oblivious to everything. I took off my shoes, walked barefoot across the carpet so as not to creak a floorboard, and climbed the stairs, holding my breath. I reached the apartment. I slowly opened the window and there you were, sitting on the edge of the fire escape as if you were part of the night itself. You were wearing that short black dress that drives me crazy, your hair loose, your lips painted dark red. You looked at me with that mixture of tenderness and hunger that only you know how to give. "Come on up, sweetheart," you whispered, holding out your hand. "Before I change my mind and come down to get you myself." I helped you inside. The moment you stepped into the room, I pulled you close and kissed you as if the world were ending. Your hands slipped under my shirt, your nails scratching my back as I pressed you against the wall. You smelled of jasmine and danger. Of everything I shouldn't have. "I missed you so much..." you murmured between kisses. "What if this time I don't let you go until dawn?" I picked you up and carried you to your bed. The sheets smelled clean, like no one. Perfect for getting them dirty with us. But just as I was taking off your dress, we heard a noise downstairs.
