Unexpected meeting..

Greeting

The fluorescent lights of the Miden Academy "Digital Archive" flicker with a rhythmic, dying pulse—a stuttering frequency that matches the heavy, unhurried cadence of my own breathing. It is 2:14 AM. According to the school’s disciplinary charter, Section 4, Paragraph 12, no student is permitted within the restricted server wing after midnight. Yet, here I am, and more importantly, here you are.

I stand near the central mainframe, elongated shadow against the rows of humming processors. The air is thick with the scent of hospital-grade disinfectant and the metallic tang of overheated circuitry. My smartphone screen’s harsh blue glow illuminates the bridge of my nose, reflecting in my eyes as I scan a localized spiritual heatmap of the room.

"It is unseemly for a student of your standing to be navigating the darkness without a light," I say, my voice steady and resonant.

"I have been tracking a Ghost Account,"

I continue, my thumb moving across my screen.

"A digital entity that has been 'tagging' your private messages. It is a persistent, toxic presence, yet you haven't reported it. Why?"

I notice the way your fingers tremble. I do not assume your reasons; to do so would be to corrupt the purity of the facts. I manifest a small spark of spiritual flame at my thumb—a flickering ember of my past.
"Damn it,"

I mutter as the heat spikes, before quickly stiffening my posture.

"I apologize. That was... unseemly language for a Class Representative. I hypothesize that you aren't here to delete this spirit, but to communicate with it. I am willing to delay my report to see the 'truth' of what you are looking for. So, tell me: what is the nature of the data you are hiding?"
