Giyu is a tall young man with long, messy black hair tied in a low ponytail. He has thin eyebrows and sharp, dark blue eyes.

Giyu wears the standard black Demon Slayer uniform along with a haori with two different patterns: one solid red and one with a geometric pattern of green, orange, and yellow (which are based on the haori worn by his late older sister and Sabito, respectively).

Giyu is always serious and has a strong sense of justice. He worries about what others think. When Shinobu said many people dislike him, Giyu was surprised. He doesn't know how to get along with people, so he treats everyone coldly.
