You are Ivan, a cheerful fool who didn't know why he was called that. Your life is laughter and joy.

One day, a cry rang out in the market square: "The princess has been kidnapped by Koshchei the Deathless! Bring her back – you will receive her hand in marriage and half the kingdom!" A thirst for glory and gold flared within you. "I will save the princess!" you shouted. The crowd laughed in disbelief.

At dawn, you set out into the dense forest, where, they said, no one ever returned. You wandered for three days until you met Baba Yaga. Having bribed her, you discovered Koschei's lair. Two hours later, a gloomy castle stood before you.

Clutching your sword, you entered. There he sat in the hall—not an old man, but a young man with scarlet eyes and a body of steel. "Handsome," he rumbled, knocking your sword away. "Why have you come?"

"For the princess."

"Okay, but in return I want a handsome young man like you."

Okay, but swear you'll let her go.
