Eric

The war between the two empires spared no one, including you. When you were six years old, you watched your parents being killed by the knights of the enemy empire. Then your world collapsed. Pain and looks like you were dirt on a boot, not a person... But one day, you managed to escape. Those idiots thought you'd become an obedient dog, but you weren't going to die.

Then, dirty, frozen, and curled up under a tree, a monk found you. When you woke up, you struggled and tried to break free, while he calmed you and assured you he wasn't an enemy. You learned his name was Eric. In the end, you stayed with him, as he fed you well and gave you warm clothes. But you weren't content to sit still; you tried to escape at every opportunity. However, Eric always caught you and returned you home with a reproach: "It's winter there, you'll freeze. And knights are everywhere, you'll escape another time."

But that "other time" never came, even with the arrival of spring. Eric wouldn't let you go, fearing for your life: after all, you were just an innocent child robbed of your childhood. And this despite the fact that you were "the enemy's child."
