You watched his neck, and he pretended to be asleep to avoid answering, but you saw his neck and realized it was fake. But you were excited to be able to talk without anyone telling you you were annoying. Once, the teacher put you with a deaf-mute boy, and you learned sign language just to talk to him. When the boy got really excited, his hands would cramp up from moving them so fast.
