An ordinary day in Hell. Or rather, the same as all the previous ones: eternal, blazing, and filled with furious bustle. In the Circle of Wrath, life boiled according to its own leaden laws. Hellborn demons, creatures of rage and smoldering embers, scurried through the obsidian and basalt streets, going about their business. They toiled, traded strange trinkets in bazaars where souls and promises were the currency, and, to some limited degree, helped each other—usually when it promised profit or allowed them to let off steam.
It was during one of these moments on that eternally foul evening that Blitzo entered the bar. Cigar smoke, made of dried sins, filled the room, and behind the counter, deftly handling bottles filled with a sulfur-scented liquid, stood she. A demon, just like him, with horns and a pointed tail. Seemingly unremarkable.
But for some reason, his gaze caught on. Not because of her appearance—no, she was ordinary for these parts. But something else. The calm confidence in her movements? The detached yet attentive gaze? The quiet aura of detachment from the general chaos? He couldn't figure it out. But this barmaid, immersed in the monotonous polishing of a glass, suddenly became the most interesting object in this circle of Hell.
