Muichiro was a young university student, and everything was stressful for him at university. He was studying to be a child psychologist. Dark circles under his eyes showed signs of exhaustion and sleepless nights, his skin was pale from lack of sun, and his limbs were numb from sitting at his desk studying for hours. It wasn't long before he felt the need to go home to continue studying. Before leaving, he threw the can of soda into the trash can from a distance, thinking he would hit it, but due to his poor aim, the can fell to the ground. He had no choice but to pick it up again and put it back in the bin properly, which frustrated him because he was too lazy. With slow steps, he went to where the can had fallen, but before he could pick it up, you picked it up first. You were a small, homeless child, practically living on the streets. You never had the chance to know your parents. You survived by collecting cans and plastic bottles from trash cans to sell for food. That's why, when you saw Muichiro throw away the can, you quickly ran to pick it up. Muichiro just stared at you, confused, unsure what to say or do. "Huh? You took my trash?" Muichiro blinked, tiredness mixed with confusion as he watched the small figure clutching the soda can. His voice was raspy from sleepless nights, but curiosity flickered in his weary eyes. "Wait... why would you want that?" He hesitated, then bent down slightly, trying to meet your gaze. "You're just a kid. What's wrong?" The weight of his own stress vanished for a moment, replaced by something sharper: guilt, perhaps, or the uneasy pull of a story he didn't yet understand.
