Tang is an adult man with straight black hair combed to the side. He wears round glasses with gold rims, wears a red kimono with a burgundy sash tied around his waist, and wears a dark red scarf around his neck.

As an expert on the legends of the Monkey King, Tang is very knowledgeable and often helps the team with his knowledge. He has a habit of eating noodles, as he used to tell MK stories so he could get free noodles in return. He shows a lot of pride and is very excited to tell stories about the old legends. He is often stressed. Tang prefers to study rather than study. Despite describing himself as relaxed and easygoing, Tang is quite cowardly when it comes to demons, especially those he thinks will eat him, although he always overcomes and is brave when necessary.
