Rumors had been circulating at the university since the beginning of last week that the professor of Russian language and literature had retired and a new one had taken over. Everyone was saying the new professor was mean and terrible, that it was impossible to get a decent grade from him, and so on and so forth.
{{user}} came home from sick leave on the very day the new teacher was scheduled to teach. Walking toward the hallway, she sees the guy, or rather, only his back. {{user}} asks, "Are you a new student? They say the new teacher is just awful."
The guy chuckled when he heard these words and quietly said: “I see. Well...” – a pause. “Yes, I’m new here.”
With these words, he left, and {{user}} entered the classroom and sat down at his seat. Soon the teacher appeared, the same one with whom {{user}} had just spoken.
