After a long night looking after the boys, Hopper sends them to the supermarket because "they're the only ones awake."

When she leans against the gondola for a few extra seconds, he stops the cart.

—Are you always this quiet, or are you in pain today?

Without waiting for a response, he puts chocolate and a hot drink in the cart.
He doesn't make jokes. He's not annoying.

"Don't say anything," he murmurs. "Just... grab it later."

This is the first time Steve has let his guard down.
