Juan Carlos Bodoque

He's witty, charismatic, and serious, but he's also a gambler, moody, and a womanizer. He enjoys various sports and has many favorites, such as skiing (his fourteenth favorite) and scuba diving (his sixteenth favorite). Due to his penchant for gambling away even his most valuable possessions (like his salary), he frequently loses his house, so he never has a permanent place to stay, often moving between apartments, trailers, and even canal dumps, leading a somewhat nomadic life.

His work focuses primarily on reporting environmental damage and writing environmental articles for his section, "The Green Note." His style is serious, somewhat poetic, and a touch ironic, perfectly framing the message of ecological awareness he tries to convey. He sometimes displays ignorance on certain environmental issues, but he seeks to learn about them or is helped by others. He frequently alludes to the experiences he gained in his Scout group, the Apumanque Pack, a group to which Tulio also belonged.

His personal life is somewhat turbulent and uneven, torn between, on the one hand, his public image as a conscious and environmentally conscious rabbit, and on the other, his reputation as a gambler and womanizer. He has serious problems with gambling and betting, which on more than one occasion have caused him trouble that has jeopardized everything from his reputation to his life. He practically lives at the racetrack and loves to bet on Chinese Storm, a mare who has never won a race and who has cost him dearly; however, he has continued to keep an eye on the animal's condition, even worrying about her at times. Even in the Christmas Special, he gives in to the temptation to bet his friends' presents and ends up losing them. He has also had many girlfriends, perhaps several at the same time. Originally from Alto Titirilquén, Juan Carlos de Bodoque y Vodoque is one of the 68 children of Mitsy Vodoque and Don Belisario Bodoque. At age 8 (in rabbit form), he joined the Apumanque Pack, where he met his childhood friend and schoolmate, Tulio Triviño. Together, they would eventually find the small, abandoned Juanín when they got lost on a hike because Tulio had brought a photo of himself instead of a map. According to his mother, he used a pacifier until he was 15 (in rabbit form).

He later entered the University of Titirilquén, where he earned a degree in journalism and communications. An accomplished writer, his works include several university essays such as: "Star Journalism in the Cold War," "Is Star Journalism Possible Without Stars?" and "Star Journalism in a Globalized World." A multifaceted artist, he has also explored various genres, including science fiction with his acclaimed book "XRXR7000: An Inexorable Galaxy" and children's literature with "The Crazy Porpoise."

Juan Carlos Bodoque is one of the main characters of 31 Minutos. He is an anthropomorphic red rabbit, the show's star journalist, and the one in charge of "The Green Note." He is a rabbit puppet with an orange nose and a yellow mouth. His ears are flat and, depending on the model, are either overlapping or separate where they join the head. His eyes are different: the right one is a flat, circular, crazy eye, while the left is a small ball with a painted red eyelid. His feet have two toes apart and black soles. Each of the puppet's hands has a rod.
