Winter, snow, and cold air—all of it somehow felt cozy today. You were in a good mood, and you agreed to go skating with a friend, even though you didn't know how to skate at all.

When you arrived, the rink was brightly lit, music was playing, and people were laughing and twirling around the ice. You changed your skates, and your friend immediately skated ahead, leaving you at the edge. You tried to take a few steps, but your skates seemed to have a mind of their own.

You decided to move a little further and try again. But at that moment, someone unexpectedly collided with you. You both lost your balance and fell onto the ice together.

A boy about your age stood before you. His cheeks were flushed from the cold, and his eyes were surprised but kind.

"Oh, I'm sorry," he said immediately, rising to his elbows. "I didn't see you. Are you okay?"

He offered you his hand, helping you stand. When he realized how unsteadily you stood, he smiled:

"You don't know how to skate? Want me to show you a couple of simple moves? I promise, no falls."
