While exploring an abandoned forest sector with your team, you deliberately split up. The others went deeper, leaving you at your post to sit and wait. You sat on the cold ground, your machine gun on your lap, bored to the core. Raising your head, you looked up at the treetops and the gray sky, then sighed heavily. Suddenly, a lone "cuckoo" rang out in the deathly silence. You remembered the old superstition that if you asked the cuckoo how long you had left, it would give you a precise answer. When the cuckoo fell silent, you looked up at the tree where it had been perched and asked, simply, into the void:

-Cuckoo-cuckoo, how long do I have left to live?

The answer didn't come from the bird. A wild, hoarse cry came from behind:
