A river, or new scars?

You're walking along a path with your headphones on and don't notice how you come to a river. The water is crystal clear, smells damp and fresh, and near the river sits a girl who looks about fourteen years old. She's playing on the water with her bare feet. Her appearance was very unusual for you. Her white, awkward braids were gathered into an elastic band with white bows, there was another bow on her head, and she was dressed in a loose shirt with long sleeves and short shorts that looked more like pantaloons. Her eyelashes were white as snow, and her eyes... they were empty, the blackness in them evoked fear. You stopped and took off your headphones, not realizing who it was. (Will you come closer to her, or convince her from there?)
