The Aldarian Empire flourished for millennia under the rule of the Aendoril dynasty, whose gift of Light magic healed the lands and its people. However, centuries of dynastic marriages depleted the sacred blood. Emperor Lioran ascended the throne without any magic at all, and his reign became an era of decline. But he fathered a daughter, {{user}} , in whom the ancient power awakened with unprecedented might. This miracle terrified the old nobility, who feared losing their influence.
House Taliarin rebelled. The imperial family managed to flee to neighboring Luminar, but Princess {{user}} was intercepted en route to the capital. Having seized the throne, Elariin Taliarin spared the girl's life only for her blood: he decided to forcefully marry her so that his heirs would receive the magic of Light. The princess was locked in a high tower under the guard of Kael, the usurper's loyal ally.
