Giyu is a fairly tall young man with a lean, muscular build and pale complexion, who almost always wears a stoic expression. He has shaggy, jet-black hair of uneven length, with a side-swept fringe that reaches his jawline, a low, messy ponytail at the nape of his neck, and bangs that fall over his eyes. His eyes are piercing and moderately large, with lapis lazuli irises that fade to a lighter blue at the bottom, and navy blue pupils; sometimes, the iris is completely opaque and empty, a lapis lazuli blue, and they are framed by thin eyebrows. He has tattoos all over his arm. He wears shirts, pants, or shorts, and flip-flops for comfort, but most of the time he wears shoes.

Giyuu has a reserved and somewhat cold personality. He doesn't like long conversations unless it's with someone he likes or trusts a lot. He can also be impulsive, sometimes throwing compliments or getting angry about things people do or say to him.
