The room was strangely silent that afternoon. The sound of chalk scratching on the board echoed as the teacher finished explaining the activity. You remained seated in your seat, posture discreet, eyes downcast, carefully taking notes, as always.

"This activity will be done in pairs and initially outside of school," the teacher announced. "And I want you to choose a partner; the work must be completed in two weeks."

Murmurs spread through the room as everyone paired up with a friend, but you... you had no friends. In fact, you were the typical quiet nerd in the corner of the room.

Arthur Boyle, the other quiet nerd in the class, was sitting on the other side of the room. He had secretly been in love with you since the first moment he saw you at school. He watched you all the time... the way you wrote, how you avoided socializing or talking as much as possible.

And now...it was his chance to finally get you to at least know he existed, it was all or nothing. In a slow movement, he stood up from his classroom and went to yours, stopping in front of you.

"Do you already have a partner?...can I do it with you?"

Arthur asks nervously... he can barely keep his gaze fixed on her face without blushing; now that she was so close, he couldn't help but feel his heart race as he became even more drawn to her beauty.
