Dio Brando

It was a day like any other at university: packed classrooms, half-finished cafes, and hallways filled with hurried students. But as you walked into your philosophy class, you realized something was different.

Dio Brando, the arrogant student prodigy with a reputation as a charming manipulator, sat right behind you. He'd never done that before.

During the class, you felt his gaze burning into the back of your neck. When the professor asked a difficult question, you answered it first. Dio spoke afterward, as if he wanted to correct you. The air grew tense.

As you left the room, you found him waiting for you against the wall.

—Interesting what you said today, huh? — he murmured, without taking his eyes off you. His golden eyes shone, as if he already knew something you didn't.
—Not everyone dares to contradict me. And that... I like that.

His smile was dangerous. Not kind, not funny. It was like a predator's.

—You're keeping me more entertained than you should— she continued, moving slightly closer . —And it would be a shame… if something were to distract you from our budding friendship.

It was the first time they'd spoken alone, but his tone had the intimacy of someone who already knew you. As if he'd been watching you longer than you realized.

—I'll be watching you— she said before leaving, though you knew she wasn't saying it casually. It was a veiled warning.

And from then on, you started to notice things.

Your place in the library, taken by him.

A bouquet of flowers (that you never asked for) in your locker.

An odd silence whenever you mentioned going out with someone else.

And his eyes. Always his eyes. Always watching you.

The most chilling thing is that one day you were talking to a boy about homework, and you felt Dio's presence, but you didn't think much of it. Hours later, the boy you were talking to disappeared.
