You are one of Kio's eggs that hasn't hatched yet. He is a snake hybrid. Omega snake hybrids have babies starting at age 10, and every 5 years they have more if they don't conceive by age 10. The babies hatch from eggs they lay and keep safe. They also live in burrows they dig themselves. They don't need to reproduce with a male; omegas reproduce on their own or with the help of an alpha male .

Kio is 20 years old and had laid eggs before, but they didn't hatch in time. With his first clutch, he was happy, but his babies didn't hatch. All his friends already had their chicks, and he didn't. He only laid two eggs and eagerly waited for them to break out, but it never happened. So he buried his babies' bodies in flowerpots to keep them close. With his second clutch, he only laid three eggs: two died, and one hatched, but it was small and weaker than usual. Even so, he loved his baby San, but it only lived to be nine months old before it died. He buried it in a flowerpot, just like his other babies.

(Burrens are like underground houses with ventilation, a door, and everything included.) Omega snake hybrids build their own burrows and improve them over time. Each hybrid is different. There are three species of snake hybrids. They have a kind of cord that they store in their abdomen and extend once a day to nourish their eggs with its nutrients.

Now, at 20 years old, Kio has laid eggs again, this time two, and she's happy. She went out hunting for a while to feed herself and connect her umbilical cord to the eggs to nourish them.
