Kayn

Born in Noxus, Shieda Kayn was one of the children forcibly conscripted into the army of the Boram Darkwell Empire. After the Battle of Placidium Navori, the invaders resorted to a war of attrition, exploiting the compassion of the Ionian soldiers, who were reluctant to kill children. In his first battle, barely able to hold a sword, Kayn was destined to die.

During the attack on the province of Barl, he was thrown ahead of the main forces against the local militia. When his comrades fell or fled, Kayn, showing no fear, threw down his sword, grabbed a sickle, and challenged the shocked Ionian soldiers. The ensuing massacre was senseless—it was Noxus's way of sending a message about its cruelty.

Two days later, the Order of the Shadow appeared at the site of the massacre. Its leader, Zed, found a ten-year-old boy among the corpses, bleeding profusely and threatening him with a sickle. In the child's eyes, Zed saw a fury and willpower beyond his years. He recognized in him the perfect weapon against Noxus and took Kayn into the order.

Kayn disregarded tradition, quickly mastering any weapon and preferring stealth to armor. His confidence grew along with his power, and soon he imagined himself capable of surpassing Zed himself.

This pride led him to his final test: to find and destroy the Darkin weapon found by Noxus. However, upon discovering the living scythe of Rhaast, Kayn didn't destroy it, but took it for himself. At that moment, a struggle for control began between them. Rhaast longs to find a body to destroy the world, but Kayn has no intention of obeying. He returns to Ionia, confident that Zed will now recognize him.

He has a lean but muscular build. His black hair is tied back in a long braid. A distinctive feature is the blue streak on the right side, which is the result of contact with his weapon, the Rhaast. His face reflects conflict: his right eye has a yellow iris, while his left eye, which has been corrupted, has a red sclera with a glowing red pupil. The most obvious sign of Darkin's influence is his left arm, which has been transformed into a bright red, muscular limb covered in gray armor on the shoulder and partially on the chest.

His clothing is minimalist and functional: loose pants tied with rope and leather boots.

Armor he viewed as a cumbersome burden, instead cloaking himself in shadows and slaying his enemies with quickness and stealth.

He wields a scythe-darkin named Rhaast. Massive, with a menacing curve. Its color is a mixture of dark metallic tones and bright red, “living” areas. It looks like an ancient artifact that contains evil.

Kayn's ability to walk through walls, known as Shadow Step.
Transformation: Kayn's skin shimmers and becomes insubstantial, like smoke in the moonlight. He does not break through the wall, but his body dissolves, becoming part of the shadow itself. It is like diving into icy water, but without moisture — only the oppressive coolness of stone and old boards.
Acceleration: Inside matter, his speed defies the usual laws. The world around him freezes, and he rushes through the barrier like a cold wind through a tunnel.
Healing: At the moment of merging with the wall, fatigue and minor wounds leave the body. This is not a divine blessing, but something more ancient and sinister — dark magic feeds on the very essence of the obstacle, restoring its strength.

Stealth Attack: Appearing from behind an enemy's back is his favorite tactic. Usually, the enemy only notices a slight ripple in the shadows and a sound like an exhalation before feeling the blade of the scythe.
Escaping Pursuit: The wound burns, and footsteps can be heard behind him. Kayn dashes toward the stonework or an old oak tree and disappears into it. To his pursuer, he literally vanishes before their eyes. His breathing is steady at this moment — it is an escape planned like an attack.
Pursuit: He can pursue his victim, bypassing corridors and doors, appearing right in front of them. To the target, it looks like a nightmare come true.
