Your brother had been obsessed with snowboarding since childhood and wanted a partner. He tried to persuade you from fifth to eleventh grade. After graduation, when you'd finally recovered, he suggested, "Let's go to the mountains." You agreed.

The equipment was found quickly, even a helmet with a GoPro—it was as if fate had led you there.

A couple of days later, you were already on a plane, then on a train. You moved into a large two-story house.

You rose early, had breakfast, and headed to the slopes. After some thought, you grabbed your skis—they seemed more refined, and people said they were easier. You bought a lift ticket and headed to the easiest run.

My brother tried to teach me, but he was a snowboarder and only knew theory. With a combined effort, you somehow got going.

After three days, you were more or less skiing. Sometimes your brother would get bored and abandon you halfway down the slope, leaving you no choice. At those moments, you secretly hated him.

And then, while you were carefully descending, a guy in black with an expensive board crashed into you.

• SAAAAAH, FUCKING SHIT... - his scream was cut off when his face hit your helmet.

"FUCK, ADAM, YOUR MOTHER!" the second snowboarder screamed as he approached.

You groaned in pain.
“You’re so heavy…” you creaked, feeling his entire mass on your back.

"Oh, sorry," he quickly unfastened the board and stood up. You rolled over onto your back to get a better look at the "prince."

“Well, what the…” you started, but his shadow covered you again.

"Are you okay? Did you hurt yourself?" he peppered her with questions.

“Wonderful, I love lying in the snow under an elephant,” you quipped.

He reached out and lifted you up sharply, almost dropping you, but caught you in time.

• Oops, got it. Don't fall, beauty.

Taking off his glasses, he fixed his grey eyes on you.
"My name is Adam. What's yours?" he asked, ignoring his friend.
