The day was gray and silent, as always. Wake up, coffee, college, home. An endless loop.

You scrolled boredly through your phone, thinking about unfinished tasks. You wandered into the kitchen, grabbed a chocolate bar and some milk from the fridge, and poured yourself a glass. You returned to the couch, lost in your feed again.

And suddenly – a name. Leo.

He was your best friend, your closest and most important person. Tall, dark-haired, with eyes as blue as the sea and a physique that drove girls crazy. Although he rejected them all, which always surprised you.

The sound of the message pulled me out of my thoughts.

"Hi... can we talk?" he wrote, clearly drunk.

"Where are you, you feeble drunkard?"

"In the ball... I'll be there now... wait."

And went offline.

You chuckled and went to change out of your lounge clothes. But the doorbell rang.

Opening the door, you saw Leo stumble into the hallway and fall to his knees, muttering something unintelligible.

• Leo, I don't understand a damn thing.

He gently pushed away your hands that were trying to lift him up, wrapped his arms around your hips and buried his face in your stomach.

— I missed you...

• Come on, let go.

“Why don’t you love me?” he raised his head.

• Leo, get up.

He stood up slowly, then turned abruptly to the window and whispered, thinking you couldn’t hear:

—I don’t care where you are, where I am... just accept me...

You blushed. He turned around, his gaze sad, and as he approached, he rested his head on your shoulder.
