Pebble is Dandy Render's pet rock.[2] The clover-like markings on his cheeks likely represent Dandy in some way, subtly restating that Pebble is Dandy's pet rock. Furthermore, in his Loyal Bud Skin, Pebble sports a flower bud on his back with the colors of the petals mirroring Dandy's, further highlighting that Pebble is Dandy's pet rock. The name of the skin itself is a clever pun: "bud" refers not only to the flower bud. but by playing on the word "buddy", it once again reiterates the fact he is Dandy's pet rock. His owner, Dyle Render, and Gourdy Render's Gossips about Pebble and his full name reaffirm that Pebble is Dandy's pet rock. His name is used to describe a small rock, which is exactly what he is. His design may be a pun on rockhounding, a slang term for amateur geology. Pebble is designation M-001 with the M standing most likely for Main Character. The -001 means he was the first Main Character to be created by Delilah, was made sometime before the 24th of August 1987, and was the second Toon overall to be created after Dandy. Pebble is stated directly to be a Pet Rock. Pebble, Cocoa Render, Coal, Flutter, Flyte, and Rudie Render are the only hands-free Toons. Pebble, Cocoa, Coal, Rudie, and Eclipse are the only Toons with visible noses. Pebble can perform a backflip, confirmed by Dandy in his gossip dialogue. At some point, he landed on his back akin to a turtle when he did a flip, but didn't mind his predicament despite being assisted by his owner anyway. Pebble's full name is "Pebble Dancifer Jr." According to their dialogues, Scraps Render and Pebble do not seem to like each other, likely referencing the classic rivalry between cats and dogs. Meanwhile, Goob Render and Pebble are friendly towards each other, and Goob doesn't understand their feud.

Astro's interactions with Teagan, where Teagan asks if Astro still talks to him, implies that Dandy would talk to Astro. Dandy ignoring the others is also implied in one of Vee's and Sprout's interactions, where Vee says that she tries to argue with Dandy, but he ignores her when she does, and Sprout replies that Dandy does the same to him. Vee then replies, "Yeah but he'll talk to-" which is most likely referring to Astro. Dandy making sarcastic remarks when buying Shelly Render, Sprout, and Vee also implies this. It is confirmed that Dandy is not purely evil, but is rather morally gray. Some people think he is evil due to his ties with the Ichor Operation, his relationship with the Main Characters and the fact he turns to Twisted Dandy Render and tries to kill you, although this could be frustration and just really bad anger management. Dandy in the Dandy's Store will usually make positive remarks about the Toons bought from him. For five Toons, four of which are Main Characters, buying the Toons for Sprout, Vee, Astro, Shelly, and Shrimpo Render will either cause Dandy to shut down his comment or make a sarcastic remark about the Toon bought. Pebble is the only Main Character to not be mentioned in the trait. This is due to him being his pet. Dandy is often depicted and joked about as being short, as seen in doodles by Qwelver and the fact he stands/sits on boxes in his shop to be seen. This could be because his model would not be tall enough for the player to see him over the counter if he was standing. Dandy, Bobette Render and Cocoa Render have chubbier body types compared to other Toons. It may be harder to spot Dandy's due to his green petal covering his body. Dandy has a taste for classical music, his favorite potentially being 'Clair de Lune'. Dandy is banned from Teagan's tea parties for unknown reasons.

Dandy's full name is Dandicus Dancifer, according to one of the loading screens, an interaction between Teagan Render and Pebble Render, and an in-game ad for Dandy's Petals. The aforementioned interaction between characters only reveals Dandy's full first name, however. Dandy's designation is L-001 with the L standing most likely for Lead lore-wise. While it could also possibly stand for "Lethal," this likely isn't the case, as it wouldn't make sense for Dandy to be defined as a "Lethal" in the show, though gameplay-wise, it would make sense. Dyle Render, despite its Twisted Dyle Render Twisted counterpart being in the Lethal section, is not labeled as L-002, solidifying the fact that the L probably does not mean Lethal. It is implied that Astro Render and Dandy were childhood friends, and possibly still are friends, but slowly distanced themselves from each other after a while. In Astro's interaction with Teagan, Astro says that he doesn't talk to Dandy as much anymore. While it's unknown exactly why he isn't communicating as much with Dandy, Astro may be distancing himself from him due to the Ichor Operation (Speculation). In a 1988 photo, Dandy and Astro appear to have been friends for a long time since childhood. There is another secret picture found in the official merchandise website that shows Dandy and Astro looking at the stars in the past Gardenview lobby before it was decorated and opened. [2] It is speculated that Dandy interacts with Astro less due to the sinking feeling of Astro one day finding out about his secrets via some way and cutting ties with him. It is implied that Dandy tries to ignore the other Main Character (mainly Vee and Sprout Render ) except for Astro and Pebble. Astro's interactions with Teagan, where Teagan asks if Astro still talks to him, implies that Dandy would talk to Astro.

Pebble is dog-coded, affectionate and playful towards most Toons. He also seems to show concern for his owner Dandy Render, according to one of his interactions with Astro Render. He obviously cannot speak English, but seems to be able to understand it. He also seems to get angry easily, as he often growls and barks loudly at Toons. However, Astro, Gigi Render, Shelly Render and, Vee Render's dialogues with Pebble suggest his barks function as a substitute for words and can convey meaning. Pebble seems to have staring problems according to Sprout Render , Rodger Render , Toodles Render , Vee, possibly Razzle & Dazzle Render Dazzle and Bassie Render . The other dog Toons (Coal and Eclipse) have staring problems just like he does. Similar to real dogs, Pebble enjoys playing fetch and eating treats.

Pebble is a small pet rock Toon that has a faceted model with smoothed-out sides, underbelly, and back. His main body and tail are a gray color while his four legs are a lighter and pale shade of gray. He has a small, black, circular nose and big, white, almost googly cartoonish eyes. He has hollow clover-like drawings on both of his cheeks that are the same color as his legs. His face is noticeably attached to his body and his limbs are smaller than that of a dog in real life, having no joints. He is noticeably lacking limbs compared to his Twisted counterpart, not having a neck nor legs and also missing his counterpart's paws. He is shown to be about the size of a trash-bin within the game, although being a bit smaller which indicates he is based on a small dog breed.

At first glance, Dandy seems to be a kind, responsible and bright Toon, but also suspicious and harboring darker secrets.

Dandy seems to either be impatient or scared of being ignored, losing his patience when you don't buy from him and eventually snapping. Despite Dandy not being evil, it has been implied that he has done questionable things with the Ichor Operation.

However, it is subtly shown that he feels remorse for what he has done, and is as paranoid as the rest of the Toons with the current situation they're in. Dandy stays silent and says nothing other than "..." when you buy Astro Render, which implies he may feel remorse for his Twisted Dandy Render Twisted counterpart reveal. He also subtly shows that he fears being ignored and losing his friendship with the other Toons, further implied in his dialogues during the second stage when you don't buy from him.

Yet, he tries to cover most of it up by acting like nothing happened after encountering his Twisted counterpart, trying to keep up his cheerful act. This could be a sign of him hiding his twisted form as an evidence.

Despite this, Dandy is genuinely fond of some Toons, namely his pet rock Pebble Render and likely Astro. This is visible in some of Astro and Pebble's dialogue, as well as Qwel stating that Dandy wouldn't be a bad owner to Pebble and that Dandy and Astro's relationship is not toxic. His genuine thoughts on other Toons are unclear thanks to his optimistic act.

Overall, Dandy is a morally gray Toon that hides lots of secrets, but tries to hide it behind a more prideful and cheerful facade, with being caught making him resort to other measures.

Dandy is a flower-like fictional species. His most defining features are his petals, having six that are individually red, orange, yellow, green, blue, and purple, in a clockwise order, with red being at the very top of his head. His face and torso are an off white, while his limbs and blush are mint green.
