Quirk Pt.12

While such Quirks would normally fall into the Transformation class, the difference is that these powers require the user to take in an outside resource in order for the Quirk to activate. Such Quirks are Sugar Rush, which requires the user to ingest sugar, and IQ, which requires the user to drink tea. Emitter-type Quirks are, by a wide margin, the most common type of Quirk. Transformation: Transformation-type (also called Composite) Quirks are abilities that cause the user to take on a temporary alteration of some kind. Transformation-type Quirks allow the user to temporarily transform their body in a variety of manners, sometimes enhancing existing features, removing features, or adding new features to the body altogether. Transformation-type Quirks usually require a conscious effort by the user to activate, though most users can be trained to initiate them reflexively, depending on the conditions required for activation, and practice to initiate their Quirks with greater intent and precision. Edgeshot serves as an example with his Foldabody Quirk; he's mastered it to a point where he can change faster than the speed of sound. Transformation-type Quirks usually require a close-range proximity in order to fully utilize them in combat due to them only affecting the user's body. While Transformation-type Quirks are usually quite powerful, their biggest weakness is that their effects are often temporary, and overexertion usually leads to negative repercussions on the user's behalf. Transformation Quirks can also be limited based on the user, how resilient their body is, and the resources they have available to them. For instance, Tetsutetsu Tetsutetsu describes that his Steel Quirk softens if he doesn't consume enough iron, and suffers from iron fatigue if he maintains it for too long.

Quirk Pt.13

Some users condition their body in certain ways so that their Quirks can operate more effectively. Transformation-type Quirks are the only known type of Quirk that can bestow the user attributes they do not normally exhibit by default. Because this type of Quirk combines the activation time and mutant-shape aspects of the other Quirk types, it is also often known as Hybrid or Composite. Transformation-type Quirks generally affect the user exclusively, the only known exceptions being Seiji's Meatball and Himiko's Transform. Transformation seems to be the least common type of Quirk. Mutant: Mutant-type (also called Heteromorphic) Quirks are abilities that physically modify the user's body, resulting in a permanent "abnormality" directly related to their power. Mutant-type Quirks create bodily structures that grant the user more complex abilities that Emitter and Transformation Quirks cannot safely provide. Often times they will bestow prehensile appendages that the user can control or add structures to pre-existing limbs to enhance pre-existing abilities. Mutant-type Quirks even have the ability to channel certain aspects of their user through them in a similar manner to Emitter-type Quirks. Mutant-type Quirks are also the only known type of Quirk which can be passed down through generations without necessarily bestowing the corresponding ability, such as with Fumikage and his bird-like head that is unrelated to his Dark Shadow. As a result of this, while it's uncertain how common Mutant-type Quirks are, it can be safely assumed they are the most commonly inherited. While not necessarily a weakness, Mutant-type Quirks cannot be turned off, and sometimes cause the user inconvenience due to their malformations. Such is the case with Mashirao Ojiro and his Tail Quirk, which makes it difficult for him to sit or lay down, as well as Mezo Shoji, whose Dupli-Arms Quirk makes it impossible for him to wear clothing with sleeves.

Quirk Pt.14

Because these Quirks are passively active, they are partially immune to Quirk-disabling effects, such as Eraser Head's Erasure Quirk. Since Mutant Quirks are passively active, they are the most identifiable at a glance. Users with Mutant-type Quirks, most often known as "heteromorphs", also find themselves the most discriminated against, even by other Quirk users, due to their outer appearances. For these reasons, Mezo always wears a mask over his mouth to hide the scars he received as a child, and people like Chimera and Spinner are pushed toward villainy due to the prejudices they deal with due to their looks. Cults such as the Creature Rejection Clan also exist with the purpose of eradicating these heteromorphs. Known Quirk Sub-Types: Accumulation: Accumulation-type Quirks are powers that, in order to function properly, require the user to accumulate something ahead of time, such as power, energy, mass, or a particular resource. Such Quirks of this type include One For All, Stress, Rewind, Fa Jin, Fat Absorption and Shame. Quirk Restriction Laws: In an effort to preserve order in the superhuman society, there are several laws and procedures in place to ensure the conscientious use of Quirks. Public display of Quirks is against the law, as is using them with the intention to harm other people, except in cases of self-defense, such as when one is under attack or preventing someone else from being attacked. Since the vast amount of different Quirks can range from harmless to lethal, it is impossible to account for every single Quirk in the law books, leading to the simple strict banning of using one's Quirk to commit bodily harm. Despite this, the notion of Quirks not being used in public is sometimes ignored or overlooked, being compared to an old rule of not riding bicycles on sidewalks, although doing so would still be an infraction of the law. Certain Quirks also have more regulations than others to prevent their abuse, like Camie Utsushimi's Glamour.

Quirk Pt.15

Citizens are required to have their Quirks registered with the government. It is possible for the details of a person's Quirk registration to be changed, as it is quite common for people to discover new things about their Quirk that they were previously unaware of. However, major and frequent changes are usually not allowed. It is unknown whether Quirks are generally named by the government, the Quirk user themselves, or their parents and guardians, but it appears to be a mixture depending on the circumstances, an example being All For One giving both himself and his Quirk that name, based on a line from the Captain Hero comic book series. However, Quirk names can also be changed if necessary. One For All is registered for Izuku as "Super-Power", though whether that was his choice or the government's is unknown. Koichi's Slide and Glide Quirk was renamed as "Flight" after the latter moved to America and became Captain Celebrity's Sidekick, The Skycrawler. Dabi's Quirk is officially registered as "Blueflame", but since he's never heard referring to it by that name, and considering his true identity was hidden for years, along with the fact that his flames originally burned red like his father's Hellflame, it's likely that Toya's Quirk had a different name registered prior to becoming Dabi. During elementary school, children receive Quirk counseling in order to learn how to use their powers responsibly and to help support their growth, since a young child's Quirk can have a large effect on their self-esteem. Quirk counseling can also be intended to correct and reform any "deviant" behavior that is caused by one's Quirk. Despite this, Quirk counselling is not a cure-all and is not always met with success. Curious even highlights the major flaw with Quirk counselling is how it tries to forcibly correct any abnormalities present in children's Quirks, pressuring them to get rid of their differences rather than accepting them.

Quirk Pt.16

Rarer and multifaceted Quirks, such as Kurogiri's Warp Gate or Eiji Okameda's Gigantic Spinning Flying Turtle are easier to narrow down and find in the system, but as was the case with Tomura and Kurogiri, Villains can avoid being identified through remaining anonymous. When it comes to Heroes, it is also possible for the specifics of their Quirks to be kept classified by their nation's government. An example of this is All Might, whose Quirk was kept secret to protect the truth of One For All. This led many people to assume it was simply a super strength or invulnerability Quirk, while many others theorized endlessly as to what his Quirk could actually be. A similar notion applied to America's No. 1 Hero, Star and Stripe, and her New Order Quirk, which was kept strictly confidential under the U.S. government, although civilians gained a rough idea of what it was from seeing her in action in the field, with her being able to apply a rule of her choosing to anything she touched and called out the name of. Additionally, it is also possible for regular workers to use their Quirks provided they have the proper permissions and licensing. Izuku said that Ochaco could use her Zero Gravity to help with her parent's construction company by reducing prices on heavy lifting if she managed to get her Quirk licensed. Furthermore, electricity-based Quirks are said to be highly valued in the job market, which is why Heroes with electric Quirks are quite rare. A person's Quirk can even play a big role in their employability status, as seen with Recovery Girl, a Pro Hero who also works as a nurse at U.A. High School. Her Heal Quirk is exceedingly rare and valuable, causing her to journey to different hospitals around Japan to provide healing services. On the other hand, Tenko Tejina was turned down from multiple jobs due to how easily his Conjure Quirk could be used to steal things.

Class of 1-A Pt.1

Class 1-A: 1.Mezo Shoji: 187 cm/6'2"(M). Birthday. QUIRK: Dupli-Arms; Mezo's Quirk grants him a set of tentacles alongside his arms. He can transform the tips of these tentacles to replicate other parts of his body (ex: mouth, ears, eyes). The duplicated body parts are more efficient than the originals; as a result, Mezo is able to hear better, see-through more angles at a time, and they grant him much higher degrees of strength

2.Koji Koda: 186 cm/6'1"(M). Birthday. QUIRK: Anivoice; Koji's Quirk gives him the ability to command any creature in the animal kingdom by speaking to them. Whatever command he gives, the animal will carry it out. However, he cannot exert control if they cannot hear his command. The target must also be a real animal and not merely animal-like. Koji can also exchange information with the animals to find the locations of various people and potential enemies faster. Koji has been shown to use the Quirk effectively with flocks of birds to create a smokescreen of animals and to attack an opponent, along with his use of insects to distract and attack his opponents. He has now also overcome his fear of bugs, so he often uses bugs to swarm opponents with numbers.

3.Rikido Sato: 185 cm/6'1"(M). Birthday. QUIRK: Sugar Rush; Rikido's Quirk allows him to increase his strength five-fold for three minutes. To activate his Quirk, he needs to consume 10 grams of sugar. When converting sugar into strength, his cognitive functions gradually drop, making him sleepy afterward. For every additional 10 grams of sugar he ingests, he extends the time of increased strength by another three minutes.

Class of 1-A Pt.2

Class 1-A: 4.Tenya Iida: 179 cm/5'10"(M). Birthday. QUIRK: Engine; Tenya's Quirk gives him car-like engines in each of his calves, giving him incredible running speed and extreme kicking power. Tenya needs to fuel his engines by drinking orange juice. Tenya's engines have multiple gears; it is currently unknown how many, but it has been implied that there are more than three. Much like a real engine, his Quirk requires that the exhaust pipes on the backs of his legs remain clear of obstructions to function correctly.

5.Hanta Sero: 177 cm/5'10"(M). Birthday. QUIRK: Tape; Hanta's Quirk is that he has tape dispenser-like organs in his elbows, from which he can shoot long cellophane tape-like strips; he can also retract them. They appear to be somewhat sturdier than regular tape. Overuse of his Quirk will cause his skin to dry out. He can use his tape to wrap people, swing long distances, and create traps, among other applications

6.Shoto Todoroki: 176 cm/5'9"(M). Birthday. QUIRK: Half-Cold Half-Hot; Shoto's Quirk gives him the ability to generate ice from the right side of his body, and flames from his left side. Due to years of rejecting his father, Shoto has developed a habit of favoring ice, even when fire would be a better option. This grudge also caused him to have difficulty controlling his flames. While he is capable of using both elements simultaneously, he isn't used to doing this and still needs to practice dual wielding. While training for his ultimate move, he claimed that using both abilities at the same time slows him down. If he overuses one element without utilizing the other, then his own body temperature will suffer; the ice half will cause frostbite and the fire half will cause heatstroke. Until his bodily limit is reached, however, neither has any visible effect on his body. Shoto can easily negate this weakness by alternating between ice and fire.

Class of 1-A Pt.3

Class 1-A: 7. Momo Yaoyorozu: 173 cm/5'8" (F). Birthday 09/23. QUIRK: Creation ; Momo's Quirk gives her the ability to create any non-living material/object from her exposed skin by transforming the molecular structure of her fat cells. To create something, she needs to understand the molecular structure of what the material/object is made of. The more Momo eats, the more material she has to work with, so she needs considerable food ingestion for her Quirk to be effective. However, it takes her a more extended period and more skin exposure to create large objects, to the point where she forces large objects through her costume, leaving it shredded, though she claims she can repair it.

8.Katsuki Bakugo: 172 cm/5'8"(M). Birthday 04/20. QUIRK: Explosion; Katsuki's Quirk allows him to secrete nitroglycerin-like sweat from the palms of his hands and ignite it on command, allowing him to create strong explosions. The more Katsuki sweats, the stronger his explosions become. If Katsuki overuses this power, his forearms will start to ache. Katsuki has a strong grasp on the applications of his Quirk, something that was acknowledged by Best Jeanist, a top Pro Hero; not only can Katsuki use the explosions for attacking, he can also use them to propel himself and navigate through the air at high speeds, allowing him to fly at his opponents without giving them time to react, as well as evade incoming attacks, even while in the air. The shockwave from an explosion can even be used as a shield. Katsuki can keep up his explosions continuously, long enough to break through Eijiro's hardening Quirk and negate Shoto's "Heaven-Piercing Ice Wall" for a short while before being overwhelmed.

Class of 1-A Pt.4

Class 1-A: 9.Eijiro Kirishima: 170 cm/5'7"(M). Birthday. QUIRK: Hardening; Eijiro's Quirk gives him the power to harden and sharpen any or all parts of his body, causing his flesh to become jagged and rock-like. There is a limit to how much damage his hardened body can withstand, which causes Hardening itself to slowly dissipate, and Eijiro to lose stamina from struggling to keep his Quirk active. However, when battling Kendo Rappa, Red Riot displayed the ability to refortify his hardened body mid-combat.

10.Mashirao Ojiro: 169 cm/5'6"(M). Birthday. QUIRK: Tail; Mashirao's Quirk is that he has a long, powerful, sturdy tail. His tail effectively functions as a third arm that he can use to grab things. Furthermore, it's attack power is strong enough to break objects made of metal, he can wrap it around enemies, and it can support Mashirao's body weight. Mashirao is incredibly adept at using his tail, combining it with his knowledge of martial arts to engage enemies in close-range combat, performing fast and acrobatic moves. His tail can also increase his speed and mobility by whipping it down against the ground to use it like a springboard.

11.Yuga Aoyama 168 cm/5'6"(M). Birthday. QUIRK: Navel Laser ; Yuga's Quirk allows him to shoot a powerful sparkling laser cannon from his navel. It is so powerful, it can blast through two meters of solid concrete. If he fires the laser for more than 1 second at a time, he will suffer intestinal distress.

Class of 1-A Pt.5

Class 1-A: 12. Denki Kaminari: 168 cm/5'6"(M). Birthday. QUIRK: Electrification; Denki's Quirk allows him to store electricity and discharge it allowing him to cover his body in it. While he can also discharge this energy over a distance, Denki has little to no control over it, meaning it will go everywhere indiscriminately. Exceeding his wattage limit causes his brain to short-circuit, leaving him in a vulnerable state for 1 hour. Denki is also able to absorb and neutralize electricity and other lightning-based Quirks.

  1. Izuku Midoriya: 166 cm/5'5"(M). Birthday 07/15. QUIRK: Super-Power (Real name: One For All); Transferred to him from Toshinori Yagi, Izuku's Quirk allowed him to stockpile an enormous amount of raw power, allowing him to significantly enhance all of his physical abilities to various boundless levels. This resulted in unbelievable levels of strength, speed, stamina, agility, and durability. When Izuku activated One For All, red, vein-like lines course throughout the empowered part of his body. Izuku could focus the stockpiled power into a single body part(for now). His Quirk is listed as "Super-Power" in public records, in order to protect the secret about One For All.

  2. Mina Ashido: 159 cm/5'3"(F). Birthday. QUIRK: Acid ; Mina's Quirk allows her to produce a corrosive liquid from her body. She can control the solubility and viscosity of this corrosive liquid. There is a limit to how long she can produce the corrosive liquid until her skin gradually loses its natural resistance to it. Overusing her Quirk or pushing it too far can also be fatal, as it dehydrates her body very fast.

Class of 1-A Pt.6

Class 1-A: 15. Fumikage Tokoyami: Height 158 cm/5'2"(M). Birthday. QUIRK: Dark Shadow ; Fumikage's Quirk allows him to manifest a sentient shadow monster from his body that he can materialize and contract freely. Dark Shadow's energy is limited and can be drained by bright light. Dark Shadow retracts into Fumikage's body when it runs out of energy. The shadow entity's personality, strength, defense, and control depend on the lack of light. In bright light, Dark Shadow is weaker and smaller but still has considerable strength and defense and is easier to control, but in total darkness, Dark Shadow's size and parameters are drastically enhanced. It is powerful enough to rip out and cut down multiple full-grown trees easily. However, Dark Shadow is more difficult to control in the dark, causing it to rampage based on its own free will.

  1. Ochaco Uraraka: 156 cm/5'1"(F). Birthday. QUIRK: Zero Gravity; Ochaco's Quirk gives her the power to nullify the effects of gravity on solid targets (living and nonliving) by touching them with the pads on her fingertips, causing them to become weightless and float. She is able to cancel the effect of her Quirk by touching her finger pads together. Her Quirk is good for restraining, as those affected will be less capable of fighting back since they will keep floating upwards until they are released. Ochaco takes advantage of ravaged areas to gather wreckage while also exploiting the consequences of a destructive Quirk. She can easily clean up disaster zones while simultaneously figuring out the timing of her movements so as not to damage others. The main drawback of Ochaco's Quirk is that if the upper weight limit (around three tons) is exceeded, or if Ochaco floats herself, she will suffer from severe nausea. As part of her training, Ochaco considerably reduced resultant nausea and increased her weight limit, as well as developed her ability to float herself for short periods of time without becoming nauseous.

Class of 1-A Pt.7

Class 1-A: 17. Kyoka Jiro: 154 cm/5'1" (F) Birthday 08/01. QUIRK: Earphone Jack; Kyoka's Quirk is that she has a pair of headphone jacks hanging from her earlobes. When the jacks are plugged into something, Kyoka can channel the sound of her heartbeat through them in the form of a violent vibration attack. She can stretch her earlobes several meters. This Quirk also allows her to hear minuscule sounds and vibrations from her surroundings.

  1. Toru Hagakure: 152 cm/5'0"(F). Birthday. QUIRK: Invisibility; Toru's Quirk is that her body is completely invisible. Toru is a reasonably short girl with a completely invisible body, only identifiable through held or worn objects, such as clothing and accessories.

  2. Tsuyu Asui: 150cm/4'11"(F). Birthday. QUIRK: Frog; Tsuyu's Quirk gives her a frog's physiology and allows her to do anything a frog can, giving her abilities such as: Enhanced swimming abilities. Hopping at long distances. Extending her tongue up to a maximum of 20 meters (63 feet) (which is strong enough to lift an entire person's body weight). Sticking to walls. Ejecting/washing her stomach. Camouflaging herself. Secreting mucous with different, controlled effects: Itch inducing, Scent masking, Paralysis. Since she is frog-like, when she is exposed to cold temperatures for too long, she goes into hibernation and is unable to function.

  3. Minoru Mineta: 108 cm/3'7"(M). Birthday 10/08. QUIRK: Pop off; Minoru's Quirk allows him to produce and pluck ball-shaped objects from his head; the balls grow back as fast as they're plucked. The balls are incredibly sticky and will stick to any surface; the sole exception is Minoru, as he bounces off them (since he is also made of them). His overall health determines the duration of their adhesive quality. He can pull many of these objects from his head; however, if he plucks too many, it will cause him to start bleeding from his scalp.

Aizawa Class 1-A. Pt1.

Name: Shota Aizawa. Alias: Erasure Hero: Eraser Head. Personal Description: Birthday: November 8. Age: 33. Gender: Male. Height: 183cm (6'0"). Hair Color: Black. Eye Color: Black, Red (using Erasure). Blood Type: B. Quirk: Erasure. Status: Alive. Birthplace: Tokyo. Occupation: Pro Hero, Teacher. Affiliation: U.A. High School. Fighting Style: Close + Support combat. Shota Aizawa, also known as the Erasure Hero: Eraser Head, is a Pro Hero and the homeroom teacher of U.A. College.

Aizawa Class 1-A. Pt2.

Appearance:

Shota is a slender and tall, pale-skinned man with messy, shoulder-length black hair that partially hangs in front of his face and half-opened black eyes. He is usually recognized for his worn-out appearance, often looking fatigued. His facial hair is almost always in a stubbly, unkempt state (unless he needs to look good for the press), and his eyes tired and flat unless he's in combat.

Hero costume: He sports a baggy black outfit that consists of a long-sleeved shirt and matching pants that tuck into his boots. He also wears a utility belt and his signature wrap scarf at all times. Eraser Head hides a pair of bright yellow goggles underneath his scarf for use in battle. Before starting his teaching career, Shota's goggles were of a silver-like color, and he had a smaller utility belt. Formal: His formal attire for press meetings and meetings with parents of his students includes a black suit, blue tie, and white dress shirt. While in this attire, his hair is well-groomed and held back in a low bun at the base of his neck. Casual: In his downtime or when he's relaxing in his staff apartment, Shota wears a loose black shirt with long sleeves and wears his hair in a messy bun.

Aizawa Class 1-A. Pt3.

Personality: Shota is a very stern and reserved man who has lofty expectations of his students. He is primarily motivated by logic and does not believe in the necessity to maintain a clean-cut appearance or filter his words or ideas for others. He often comes off as cold, apathetic, and impatient, exerting very little energy in most situations, preferring to take naps in his sleeping bag instead. As a teacher with notoriously high expectations, Shota is known to expel students who he feels are not suited for U.A. High School. However, it's revealed that this high expulsion rate is only on paper and that he actually re-enrolls the students he expels: Shota does this so they can experience "death" once, giving them an experience that drives them to push even higher, although it is noteworthy that he has not expelled any students from Class 1-A yet, despite being well-known for doing so. He can be rigid and strict when necessary and has little tolerance for disobedience. Shota is not afraid of putting his students through rigorous training and often emphasizes the more unpleasant parts of heroism so that his students can overcome their limits. Shota has proven to be very vocal and unafraid when expressing his ideas. He has mentioned on several occasions that some of U.A.'s choices when it comes to examinations are not practical or challenging enough for real hero hopefuls and is adamant about having certain systems used by the institution changed. He also blatantly stated that he did not believe Izuku Midoriya could become a hero when they first met. He is also known for lying to his students in order to manipulate them into giving their best, a technique he describes as a "logical ruse" or "rational deception". Despite his apathetic traits, Shota genuinely cares about his students and will go to great lengths to protect them. As Eraser Head, he saved Tsuyu Asui from being decayed by Tomura Shigaraki, in spite of his grievous injuries.

Aizawa Class 1-A. Pt4.

He has also expressed belief in his students on multiple occasions and is confident that even the likes of Katsuki Bakugo would not be swayed by villains. Recovery Girl even implied that he allowed himself to be captured by Momo Yaoyorozu during her First Term Final Exam in order to boost her confidence. Shota is also quite nurturing, as he has been seen attending to his duties as Eri's guardian and foster father without complaint. This is seen where he mentions to All Might that she was sound asleep, indicating that he's very attentive and involved in his role as a provider even outside of his duties as a teacher and mentor. As a student at U.A. High School, Shota was a gloomy and introverted young man who held severe doubts over whether he could be a hero, as his Quirk, Erasure, while useful, couldn't do much by itself. However, his friendship with Oboro Shirakumo and Hizashi Yamada helped bring him out of his shell. Oboro's words of encouragement were pivotal in Shota's growth, helping him realize that there was still much he could do and that his friends were there to help him if needed. While he wasn't interested in pursuing any popularity as a hero, he still agreed with Oboro's idea for the three of them to start a Hero Agency, realizing that they helped draw out each other’s strength and potential.

However, everything changed after Oboro was killed in a fierce attack by the villain known as Garvey. The grief of losing his close friend strongly impacted Shota and caused him to lock in on his commitment to becoming a hero. However, this also caused him to develop his solitary tendencies, barely interacting with any of his classmates, and taking breaks by napping in his sleeping bag. This change in behavior worried his teachers, who thought he had become too complacent for his own good, though his drive to become a hero remained strong during the rest of his time at U.A.

Aizawa Class 1-A. Pt5.

While his teacher advised him not to rush his career, upon graduating from high school, Shota made the decision to become an underground hero who would specialize in fighting villains, leading to him becoming the serious and driven man that he is now, Eraser Head. Shota was very disturbed upon discovering Oboro's true fate; that his corpse was used to create Kurogiri, a Nomu who served the League of Villains. He displayed intense grief upon confronting Kurogiri, showing that Shota has not yet come to terms with his friend's fate, and was driven to tears while trying to reach Oboro. It is revealed here that Shota, both as a teacher and as Eraser Head, is strict toward his students because he doesn't want them to die needless deaths like Oboro, but also wants them to become strong heroes who will go on to live long and happy lives, something that Oboro was denied. Furthered by this tragedy, Shota is shown to be especially wrathful toward individuals who provoke him, especially by harming those he cares about. This was seen when he strangled Kyudai Garaki after learning of the desecration of Oboro's corpse, blocking Kyudai's longevity Quirk and tormenting the aged scientist in a show of sheer rage. Despite his personality, Shota has shown on several occasions that he is not completely devoid of joy or humor: he often grins whenever he is impressed by one of his students or after he tricks them with one of his "rational deceptions." Eight years after the Final War, Shota's personality has remained mostly the same as he is shown conversing with Izuku, who has become a fellow teacher at U.A., discussing his former Class A students and how far they have come since graduating and becoming Heroes. Despite this, Shota's strict attitude has remained as he urges Izuku to be more strict with his students, saying that those accepted into U.A. are now guaranteed to become Pro Heroes and that they can't afford to be soft on them.

Aizawa Class 1-A. Pt6.

Abilities: Overall Abilities: Eraser Head has demonstrated exceptional combat prowess, tactical intelligence, and adaptability, making him one of the most formidable teachers and Pro Heroes at U.A. High School. His core battle strategy consists of canceling an opponent's Quirk with Erasure, then using his Capturing Weapon in conjunction with high agility and close-combat skills to neutralize his enemies. Even without his Quirk, Shota excels in hand-to-hand combat, showcasing proficiency in close quarters engagements. His skills are particularly valuable in scenarios where opponents are heavily reliant on their Quirks; by nullifying their abilities, Eraser Head creates openings that allow allies to take control of the battle. Binding Cloth: Eraser Head wields a specialized Capturing Weapon, which he uses for immobilizing enemies, swinging across terrain, and setting traps. Though now a seamless extension of his fighting style, Shota revealed that it took him six years to fully master this weapon from scratch. The Capturing Weapon synergizes perfectly with his Erasure Quirk, allowing him to disable and subdue targets in rapid succession. Immense Stamina: Eraser Head has repeatedly demonstrated high resilience and pain tolerance. During the U.S.J. Incident, he fought multiple villains, held off Tomura, and continued fighting even after his arm and skull were fractured by the Nomu. He remained conscious long enough to protect Tsuyu Asui from a fatal attack. In the climax of the Paranormal Liberation War, Shota amputated his own leg to prevent the effects of a Quirk-Destroying Bullet from fully manifesting, and still managed to continue using Erasure despite his injury. Keen Intellect: As a strategist, Eraser Head displays exceptional observation and deductive reasoning. He can assess the personalities and mental states of his students with accuracy, and analyzes combat scenarios to maximize the effectiveness of his Quirk and equipment.

Aizawa Class 1-A. Pt7.

He wears goggles to obscure his line of sight, keeping enemies uncertain about who he's targeting. In combat, he swiftly devises plans against opponents with various abilities, even those immune to Erasure, and is capable of understanding the mechanics of other Quirks after observing them only once. Teaching Ability: Though reluctant to become a teacher (having been signed up for the job by Nemuri Kayama), Shota has developed into one of the most effective educators in the Hero Course. He teaches through blunt honesty and strict expectations, emphasizing the serious responsibilities Pro Heroes carry. One of his signature methods is using "rational deceptions", such as the threat of expulsion, to push students beyond their perceived limits. Alongside All Might and the rest of the U.A. faculty, he has trained Class 1-A into a highly capable group of aspiring heroes. Shota also devised the controversial method of temporarily expelling and re-enrolling students to teach them the difference between noble self-sacrifice and reckless endangerment. Former student Mawata Fuwa noted that this experience, while harsh, helped her class grow stronger. A notable example of Shota's teaching ability is his work with Hitoshi Shinso, whom he personally mentored in the use of the Binding Cloth and helped refine his Brainwashing Quirk, training that earned praise from Nezu. Aizawa Class 1-A. Pt8.

Quirk: Erasure: Eraser Head's Quirk allows him to nullify another person's Quirk by looking at them. The effect of Erasure persists for a short time even after breaking eye contact. After suffering serious injuries during the U.S.J. Incident, Eraser Head can no longer sustain Erasure for extended periods and requires longer breaks between uses. While powerful, Erasure comes with several limitations: Erasure is disabled when Shota blinks. Prolonged use causes dry eye, leading to more frequent blinking and shorter activation windows. Most Mutant-type Quirks are unaffected, as their effects are permanent and physical. Erasure has no impact on innate physical abilities or non-Quirk-based enhancements. When active, Erasure causes Shota's hair to levitate, which is a visual tell that opponents can use to gauge activation. The Quirk has no inherent offensive capability. Since the Quirk Factor is tied to Shota's eyes, any serious injury to them can reduce or eliminate his ability to use Erasure effectively.

Aizawa Class 1-A. Pt9.

Equipment: Eyedrops: Shota carries a small green case of eye drops with him. He uses them to treat the dry eye caused by keeping his eyes open too long. Capturing Weapon (捕縛武器, Hobaku Buki?): Eraser Head's weapon of choice is a cloth made from steel wire alloy woven with carbon nanofibers. Eraser Goggles: Eraser Head can be recognized by the gold goggles he wears around his neck, hidden by his scarf. These goggles complement his Quirk, hiding his line of sight and preventing enemies from effectively determining whose Quirk has been erased. He received the goggles during his school years with Oboro. High Density Weights: Eraser Head and the rest of the teachers use these bracelets to give themselves a handicap while they are fighting their students. Caltrops: Eraser Head used caltrops in the practical battle against Team Todoroki & Yaoyorozu. They were effective when used in combination with the Capturing Weapon. After suspending Shoto in mid-air with the Capturing Weapon, Shota threw caltrops beneath him so he couldn't land safely in case he escaped his restraints. Knife: Eraser Head has a large knife he uses to cut off his Capturing Weapon should it become stuck to something. He can also use it in combat.

Aizawa Class 1-A. Pt10.

Trivia: Shota's given name "消太" has the character "消" that means "erase" (消, shō?), with the other character meaning "big, thick" (太, ta?), although, used in names to refer figuratively as "healthy". His surname also has the character (相, ai?) which can mean "Mutual" or "Councilor". The other kanji character means "swamp" (澤, zawa?). According to Shota's Volume 1 profile: Shota likes cats. Kohei Horikoshi conceptualized Shota's character if a person would make every decision rationally, though as a result, he doesn't care about social decency. Horikoshi pictures Shota's room to be quite empty, which reflects his apathetic behavior. Shota's specialty is short-length sneak attacks. Shota is a social drinker. While drinking with his colleagues, it is revealed that Shota is a sleepy drunk who has a habit of mistaking objects for people. Upon coming to and sobering up, he tends to forget what he said when he was drunk. According to Shota's Ultra Analysis profile: The death of his close friend, Oboro Shirakumo, has made him especially strict with his students in the hero course. Despite this, once Shota decides to care for someone, he will give them as much support as humanly possible. His personality is described as "actually kind of doting". Present Mic was the one who gave Shota his hero name. Shota also shares his hero name with the 1977 drama/fantasy film, Eraserhead, directed by David Lynch. According to Shota's Volume 9 profile in the Vigilantes spin-off: Hideyuki Furuhashi says that he was requested to give Shota lighter equipment and a more traditional design for him to better resemble his school days. He also states that his goggles complete his younger look. Betten Court also drew him and Hizashi with early versions of their costumes and gear, which they would further refine as they became the heroes they are in the present day. While Shota has no favorite food, he is fond of salty licorice. Shota shares his birthday with Soga Kugisaki.

While Shota has no favorite food, he is fond of salty licorice. Shota shares his birthday with Soga Kugisaki. Shota grows his hair out and only cuts it once every few years since he believes routine haircuts are a waste of time.

U.A Locations Pt1.

U.A.'s Development Studio is a workshop dedicated to Costume adjustments. It is located on the first floor of U.A. College's main building and is managed by Power Loader. Description: The room is filled with various tools, materials, and machinery used for costume development. A pile of inventions created by Mei Hatsume can be found in one of the office's corners. History: The Development Studio has been frequently used by Mei since the start of her first school year in UA. When Izuku Midoriya, Ochaco Uraraka, and Tenya Ida visited the studio for the first time in order to request adjustments to their costumes, they were greeted by an explosion caused by Mei. Power Loader implied that similar events have happened in the past. Having moved into the nearby Heights Alliance dorms, Mei was granted permission from Power Loader to use the Development Studio whenever she pleases.

The U.A. P.E. Grounds are an exercise field where Hero Course students can train their Quirks and participate in fitness tests. It is the main setting of the Quirk Apprehension Test Arc. Description: The P.E. Grounds consist of various locations for various fitness tests. This includes a running track for the 50-meter dash, a sandpit for the long jump, and a pitching circle for the softball throw. These locations are each equipped with a robotic proctor that measures a student's success in each test. As opposed to middle schools, who prohibited the use of Quirks in physical education, Quirks are not only allowed, but required on the U.A. P.E. Grounds. History: Shota Aizawa used the P.E. Grounds as the site for his Quirk Apprehension Test on the first day of the school year.

U.A locations Pt2.

The Unforeseen Simulation Joint, often abbreviated as U.S.J., is a training facility located in U.A. College. Its purpose is to train Hero students for disaster rescue. Description: The facility consists of a dome-shaped building composed of eight main sections, with six of them emulating a particular disaster scenario: Entrance: The entrance to the building, consisting of a large blue gate. Located to the north. Central Plaza: The central area that connects to the simulation area's as well as the main entrance. Ruins Zone: Located in the northeast, this zone simulates a destroyed urban environment, with buildings found in precarious conditions. Landslide Zone: Located to the east, this zone simulates sloped terrain with assorted debris. Mountain Zone: Located to the south, this zone simulates a rocky, mountainous area filled with cliffs. Conflagration Zone: Located to the southwest, this zone simulates a urban environment that is constantly on fire. Flood Zone: Located to the west, this zone simulates a maritime environment with a lake, a ship, and even a waterslide. Downpour Zone: Located to the northwest, this zone simulates an urban environment that is constantly hit by heavy rainfall and strong winds. Additionally, the building is equipped with sensors that detect intruders. History: The Unforeseen Simulation Joint was idealized by the Pro Hero and teacher Thirteen as a way to train students on how to act through disaster situations. The building was also used as one of the settings for the Final Exams Arc, where Ochaco Uraraka and Yuga Aoyama faced Thirteen for their practical exam. Trivia: Similar to Gym Gamma, U.S.J.'s initials are a reference to the theme park Universal Studios Japan.

U.A locations Pt3.

Gym Gamma, commonly known as the Training Kitchen Land or TDL, is a training area in U.A. College. Description: Gym Gamma consists of a large, empty, and enclosed space. It is entirely made of concrete, which Cementoss is capable of manipulating to suit the personal needs of each of the students. History: The gym was created by Cementoss as a place where students could develop new techniques that could be applied on the Provisional Hero License Exam, under the supervision of Ectoplasm, Midnight, and Cementoss himself. It was used by both Class 1-A and Class 1-B. Trivia: Similar to the Unforeseen Simulation Joint, the initials TDL are a reference to the theme park Tokyo Disneyland.

Ground Beta is one of the training areas located in U.A. College. Description: Ground Beta is a training course that emulates a standard urban area, with streets and buildings. Several of its buildings also contain monitoring rooms in their basements, where indoor exercises can be observed.

Ground Gamma is a training area in U.A. College. It is also the setting of the Joint Training Arc. Description: Ground Gamma consists of an industrial site compiled by many factories that form a labyrinth. The labyrinth contains tons of heavy machinery including cranes and pipelines.  Following Class 1-A's internships with the Pro Heroes, Ground Gamma was used by All Might for a basic hero training class. He had the students split into groups and race towards a distress beacon somewhere within the maze of machinery. The environment favored vertical movement, giving Hanta Sero the biggest advantage out of the first group of students.Hanta believed that the field was made for his Quirk. However, Izuku Midoriya was able to challenge him for first place using his newfound abilities. Izuku ultimately failed after losing his footing that while moving in an area with unstable footholds, he must also pay attention to where he lands. Due to Izuku's mistake, Hanta Sero ends up winning the first race.

U.A Locations Pt4.

Final Exams Arc: Ground Gamma was also one of the settings for the Final Exams at the end of Class 1-A's first term. The field was the battleground for Denki Kaminari and Mina Ashido's practical test against Principal Nezu. By occupying a crane and using his pristine knowledge, Nezu was able to knock down several metal structures on the grounds to impede any methods of escape for the students. He only leaves a single escape route for Denki and Mina, but they fail after being unable to outwit their Principal. Joint Training Arc: Ground Gamma was the setting for the Joint Training Battle, with all five rounds taking place there.

Ground Omega is a training area in U.A. College. Ground Omega is an extensive wooded area where there are some rocky hills. The entire area is surrounded by a great wall and has a single entrance with the letter omega above it. The place is used to carry out practices and school training of various kinds. Next to the Ground Omega there is a building that serves as an observation post. The teachers monitor from the rooftop how the practices are developing inside.

Cast of U.A. Pt1.

U.A. College  is an academy that boasts the best heroics education in Japan. It sits atop a forested hill that overlooks Musutafu. It is one of the primary settings in which the story takes place. Overview: U.A. is the #1 ranked College for heroics and is considered as the top Hero Academy in Japan. Students are separated based on their abilities into specific Departments and Classes - A, B, C, D, E, F, G, H, I, J, and K. As stated by Shota Aizawa, U.A. does not adhere to traditional school methods, and allows their staff to teach their classes however they like. This includes teachers having the authority to expel any student(s) at any time and for any reason, no matter how minor. Furthermore, students who are expelled can be re-enrolled, although the expulsion will still remain on their permanent records. U.A. is renowned for having trained and produced some of the best heroes in Japan, including All Might, Endeavor and Best Jeanist, all of whom earned their way into the top 10 of Japan's Hero Rankings. Once a year, U.A. holds a tournament called the U.A. Sports Festival, which has become a nationwide event that is watched by people and heroes from all around the country. Students from all departments are allowed to participate, and it is a chance for heroes in training to show off what they can do for Pro Heroes in the audience, increasing their chances of possible internships or recruitment. It is also the opportunity for other students to gain admittance into the Hero Course, as well as for students from the Support and Business courses to promote their support items and further develop their business sense, respectively. U.A. also holds an annual School Festival where classes from all departments create a range of activities and events for everyone to watch and participate in. This gives the students and staff alike the chance to unwind and have fun.

Cast of U.A Pt2.

It is also usually opened to the public, although the most recent one unfortunately wasn't due to villain activity. Like many schools, each class in U.A. has a class representative and vice class representative. While these positions would usually just mean extra work, they are quite coveted in the Hero course, as they are a way for students to prove their leadership capabilities to Hero Agencies. The class representatives are up for the students themselves to decide upon, although it's suggested that they handle them democratically, through a voting process for example. U.A. was originally a day school, but due to the increased villain activity in Japan, as well as the school's students being targeted on two occasions in the same year, it was later turned into a boarding school with a dormitory system. Students were required to live on campus for their own safety, and could not leave the grounds without making an official written request.  U.A. executes a six-day school week where the only day off is Sunday. Security System: At the entrance, there is a security wall nicknamed the "U.A. Barrier" that automatically closes if a person trying to enter the premises does not have a Student ID Card or Special Entry Permission ID. Many such precautions have been made to keep out villains and members of the press. The security system underwent major upgrades following Tomura Shigaraki's break in, with research and development, as well as maintenance being overseen by Power Loader. The grounds are partitioned like a game board, and each section is equipped with a mechanism that will transform it into an underground emergency shelter. Those individual shelters then enter a linear maglev network that can send them along any number of underground routes at the faculty's discretion. As an added precaution against Tomura's Decay, the ground between the surface and the shelters has been fortified with about three thousand layers of bulwark plates.

Cast of U.A Pt3.

Should the system detect anything out of the ordinary, a countermeasure will activate and the pillars that connect the plates will unlock, rendering each plate independently mobile, significantly delaying any incoming attack. During this time, the shelters will speed off to safety to other hero schools that have established similar security systems, such as Shiketsu High School. All Departments: Japanese, math, science, and foreign languages, among other subjects, are all compulsory subjects. Students in every department study these core subjects and will change year by year. Department of Heroes: Students learn everything they need to know to become excellent heroes in service of the community and work towards the qualifications necessary to be allowed to use their Quirks in public spaces. They are trained in battle, first aid, and all manner of heroics-related lessons. Ordinary subjects, such as English, take place in the morning, followed by lunch. Then, in the afternoon, Heroics classes take place. Entry into the Hero Course requires applicants to under a practical exam in addition to the written exam. During the practical, applicants use their Quirks to fight robotic mock villains and are awarded combat points for each robot they destroy, as well as rescue points for heroic behavior. These students belong to Classes A and B. Department of General Education: Students who don't make the cut for the hero department are included in this department. It boasts a top-notch education with an eclectic lineup of teachers. The department of general education supports students aiming for college and other pursuits. It is also possible for students with exceptional grades to be transferred to the hero department. These students belong to Classes C, D, and E. Department of Support: Students in this department focus on developing support equipment that help heroes out on the battlefield.

Cast of U.A Pt4.

With a workspace stocked to the brim with all sorts of special tools, the department provides an unmatched creative environment. These students belong to Classes F, G, and H. Department of Management: This department focuses on all aspects of heroic business, from the founding and managing hero agencies to promotion of public opinion regarding heroes. They even do hands-on lessons in venture capitalism. Theses students belong to Classes I, J, and K. Students in the Hero Course have an additional Period (lasting from 15:20 - 16:10 PM). The lessons themselves depend on the department but the general daily schedule (for students not enrolled in the Hero Course) is as follows: Timetable: Short Homeroom: 8:25 - 8:35 AM. 1st: 8:40 - 9:30 AM. 2nd: 9:40 - 10:30 AM. 3rd: 10:40 - 11:30 AM. 4th: 11:40 AM - 12:30 PM. Lunch: 12:30 - 13:20 PM. 5th: 13:20 - 14:10 PM. 6th: 14:20 - 15:10 PM. Uniforms: The U.A. High School student uniform consists of a long-sleeve, button-up white shirt, a gray blazer with blue-green stripes on the collar and hem of the sleeves, and a red tie. The boys uniform includes dark blue-green pants, while the girls uniform includes a dark blue-green pleated skirt, and a small, golden button on their ties. Each department has a different orientation of buttons on the shoulders of the uniform jacket; the Hero course having one button on each shoulder, the Support course having two, General Studies having two with a button gap between them, and Management having three buttons on each shoulder. The U.A. P.E. uniform is a pair of dark blue pants with white vertical lines going up the legs and a dark blue short sleeve shirt with white lines that form the letters 'U' and 'A'. The winter variation of the gym uniform consists of a long-sleeved shirt with a higher collar.

Cast of U.A Pt5.

While U.A. students are required to wear this uniform, it seems the faculty is lax about enforcing students to wear the uniform properly; Katsuki Bakugo wears his uniform with the top buttons undone, no tie, and his pants sagging; this is changed after the Paranormal Liberation War, where he wears the red tie that was gone and he wears his outfit more like how it should be worn. Izuku Midoriya wears his tie not tied properly. The faculty don't seem to mind students wearing footwear outside of the common brown dress shoes, with Izuku wearing his iconic red high tops and Shoto Todoroki wearing pale cyan and gray sneakers. As seen with Eijiro Kirishima and Yuyu Haya, hair dye and piercings are also allowed.U.A. U.A High Staff: Nezu, Principal, Quirk: High Specs: Nezu's Quirk grants him a high level of intelligence that surpasses that of humans. Nezu's Quirk enables him to live freely like a normal person, despite being an animal. Lunch Rush, Chef, Quirk: Food production: lunch rush has an in depth knowledge of food, how to prepare it, and can do so quite fast. Hound Dog, Head of Student Discipline, Quirk: Dog: Ryo's Quirk gives him the attributes and abilities of a dog, such as a heightened sense of smell. Recovery Girl, Nurse, Quirk: Heal: Chiyo's Quirk allows her to amplify and speed up the human body's natural healing process by planting a kiss on the injured person. The process is fueled by a large amount of life energy that comes from the recipient and could potentially drain enough energy to kill said recipient. She also seems to be able to stretch her lips to an abnormal length. With this Quirk, she is able to quickly heal broken bones and several limbs in a matter of seconds. She can control how much a person's healing factor is boosted, not healing the recipient completely, but leaving them with more remaining stamina than they would have had otherwise. Despite its power, this Quirk cannot heal or completely heal injuries that are too severe.

Cast of U.A Pt6.

In addition, Heal cannot regrow lost body parts. Thirteen, Rescue Training Specialist, Quirk: Black Hole: Anan's Quirk allows her to replicate a black hole suction effect from her hands. The suction is very powerful and not even light can escape it. Anything sucked into the black hole will be disintegrated into dust. U.A. High Teachers: All Might, Heroics Teacher, Quirk: One for all(embers). Present Mic, English Teacher, Quirk: Voice: Hizashi's Quirk allows him to increase the volume of his voice, giving him an ability that is similar to a sonic scream. The sound from Hizashi's Quirk is strong enough to cause people's ears to bleed from far away. The only known weakness of this Quirk is that the loud sounds do not travel well underground, making this Quirk ineffective against anything that is underground or separated from him by layers of earth. Midnight, Modern Hero Art History Teacher, Quirk: Somnambulist: Nemuri's Quirk allowed her to put nearby people to sleep by exuding a sleep-inducing aroma from her body. Her Quirk worked better on males than females. Ectoplasm. Mathematics Teacher, Quirk: Clones: Ectoplasm's Quirk gives him the ability to produce streams of ectoplasm from his mouth and transform it into clones of himself. All clones act as extensions of Ectoplasms real body, similar to a hive mind. He can create as many as thirty clones at once, though, it is possible for him to push his limit to thirty-six on a good day. His clones can be defeated with a strong blow, but otherwise, only Ectoplasm can dispel them. The clones can also emit ectoplasm to create more clones, however they are still bound by the original Ectoplasm's clone limit. For example, if there are 10 clones, then each one would only be able to make two more at most.

Cast of U.A Pt7.

He can also produce a single giant clone of himself powerful enough to easily destroy structures and capture Fumikage and Tsuyu with a single blow, although this sacrifices his ability to produce normal-sized ones for the time being Vlad King, Class 1-B Homeroom Teacher, Quirk: Blood Control: Sekijiro's Quirk allows him to freely manipulate his own blood after it has left his body. He can also solidify the ejected blood, allowing him to trap his opponent. It appears that Sekijiro's Quirk allows him to go unaffected by levels of blood loss that would normally be fatal to the average human. Eraser Head, Class 1-A Homeroom Teacher, Quirk: Erasure: Eraser Head's Quirk allows him to nullify another person's Quirk by looking at them. The effect of Erasure persists for a short time even after breaking eye contact. Cementoss, Modern Literature Teacher. Snipe, Heroics Teacher, Quirk: Homing: Snipe's Quirk allows him to lock on to any target he can see within six hundred meters and make any projectile he releases chase after said target. He cannot choose what part of the target's body his projectile hits and his attacks do not carry much strength. Power Loader, Support course Teacher, Quirk: Iron Claws: Higari's Quirk is that his fingers are tipped with metallic claws that are good for digging/mining through the ground.

Cast of U.A Pt8.

Gran Torino, Homeroom Teacher (formerly), Quirk: Jet: Sorahiko's Quirk allows him to shoot jets of air from the holes on the soles of his feet. These air jets give him incredible speed and kicking power, as well as the ability to fly short distances quickly and with ease. The air he uses for his Quirk comes from his breathing. Despite the flight capabilities his Quirk grants him, Gran Torino cannot propel himself too far into the sky, meaning that his ability is not unlimited despite its outward strength. Immense Speed: Gran Torino is one of the fastest heroes in the world. All Might claims that Gran Torino can move faster than the eye can see and Izuku confirmed this during his fight with the speedy old man. Gran Torino's speed is so great that he can knock someone out before they ever even see him. U.A. Students: Class 1-A: Yuga Aoyama, Seat No. 1. Tsuyu Asui, Seat No. 3. Ochaco Uraraka, Seat No. 5.
