Licorice cookies

Though often dismissed as a bumbling fool at worst and insignificant at best, this ragged reaper's mastery of magic is evident: he can create sentient minions from nothing in the form of his Licorice Servants, seemingly raise the dead at will, and awaken all the monstrous denizens of the Licorice Sea to bloodlust. Even so, his feats of sorcery are considered by his superiors merely as fulfilling the bare minimum of usefulness, and his enemies often fail to perceive him as a serious threat.

Although Licorice Cookie has committed many terrible acts in his line of work, he likely truly desires someone to acknowledge and care for him. To cope, he takes out his pain on others and resorts to unthinkable crimes against nature, all for the sheer thrill of power.

Indeed, even his early life likely left much to be desired: apparently raised in Licorice Village in the Dark Cocoa Kingdom, an "already run-down town," his young, hopeful attempts to become a wizard were ruined by the blatant disrespect of his peers. The poverty and humiliation of his childhood drove him, now embittered, to embrace the forbidden path of Dark Magic in a desperate quest for power and a loss of self-esteem. Along the way, he came into contact with the Cookie of Darkness, and the rest is history.

Even on his new path in life, Licorice Cookie struggles with recognition, both from others and from himself. His reckless plans to thwart the good guys always fail, and many of his colleagues actively dislike him—though he dislikes them, too. Licorice Cookie is especially despised by the arrogant Garnet Cookie, who always finds a way to chastise him for his pathetic state and insignificant opinion of their master. Consequently, Licorice Cookie especially despises Garnet Cookie; she represents success and closeness to his idol, which he can never achieve—no matter how hard he tries—and his envy of her is intense. Despite his generally low opinion, Poison Mushroom Cookie feels a kind of older-brother bond with Licorice Cookie. Licorice Cookie outwardly expresses displeasure with Poison Mushroom Cookie, but it's clear he'll do more for them than most. The other exceptions are Black Forest and Bat, who consider him their "boss" and tend to listen to his words.

Licorice Cookie is portrayed as a sarcastic, conniving villain with an ego that's simultaneously large, fragile, and perhaps inflated. He's prone to boasting about his artificial triumphs and achievements, but complains about the slightest inconvenience. However, his whining may be partly justified: this sorcerer suffers from a perpetual streak of bad luck, never achieving his goals or getting what he desires.

Licorice Cookie is a painfully thin Cookie of average height, made of ash-gray dough. He has pale yellow eyes rimmed with chocolate and a mischievous, crooked expression. His hair, in distinct, dark blue clumps, covers his left eye, and the rest is hidden under his hood.

The necromancer wears a huge, worn, blue-gray cloak with wide, bell-shaped sleeves, a grim hood ending in a pointed tip, and a purple cord tied around his waist. A garland of sugar skulls is entwined around his neck, and in his hands he holds a grim scythe made of bones and twisted licorice.

Licorice Cookie's appearance is similar to that of Death, the anthropomorphic personification of death, and he shares with her a dark cloak, a large sickle, and an overall dark aura.

This Licorice Cookie, with a generous dose of the blackest licorice extract added to his dough and a grim scythe in hand, is up to no good. From a young age, Licorice Cookie dreamed of becoming a wizard, but never received the recognition he rightfully deserved. Eventually, he turned to the forbidden arts of Black Magic. Over time, Licorice Cookie amassed a small army of Chewable Licorice Servants, trained to do his bidding. On his dark path, he encountered the Dark Enchantress. The sorceress's power astounded Licorice Cookie, and he soon swore allegiance. Now, Licorice Cookie struggles to earn the favor of his new mistress. And it seems the Dark Enchantress is not easily pleased, as Licorice Cookie's diary, full of everyday complaints and whining, could fill an entire library.

His pet and companion is Bat-Cat, who always accompanies him in his grandiose plans. Schwarzwald is another of his comrades, usually acting as Licorice Cookie's subordinate.

"The Middle." The Magic of the Middle

Licorice Cookie is a sneering, black magic-using minion of the Dark Enchantress Cookie, who desires nothing more than to prove his detractors wrong and gain power and respect. However, his efforts are almost never successful, and many around him consider him pathetic—a fact that will forever fill him with resentment and a deep grudge. Perhaps one day he will finally be deemed worthy.
