The Heroes of the Glade

RAYMAN – Mostly chill and laid-back, Rayman likes to spend his time with friends, while occasionally saving the world, in-between naps. This time, Rayman is tasked to restore balance in the Glade of Dreams, a realm emanating from Bubble Dreamer's mind. Rayman will use his skills and the powers bestowed upon him by Betilla the fairy to cleanse the corruption, protect his friends, and hair-glide his way into saving the world!

GLOBOX – Globox is Rayman's best friend, and is a goofy, happy guy whose interests revolve around sleeping, napping and munching. He is Rayman's wingman and as such, he tries to emulate his actions as often as possible. Due to his poor athleticism and lack of intellectual prowess, results are usually quite... disastrous. Good thing he's extremely strong!

His origins remain unclear to this day. Some say that Globox used to be red, but turned blue after feasting on berries and being swarmed by mosquitoes...

GRAND MINIMUS – Grand Minimus is the self-proclaimed Great King of all Teensies (following an election where all Teensies voted for themselves). Teensies are magical beings created by Bubble Dreamer to watch the secrets of the Glade of Dreams.

Like all Teensies, Grand Minimus wields magical and shamanic powers, he believed himself to be the greatest and most powerful of them all. In truth, his incantations fail 90% of the time... He opens paths to new realms in the Glade of Dreams to help Rayman in freeing the kidnapped Teensies, as any legitimate King would...

BARBARA – Barbara is a young warrior from a lost tribe of Barbarians. She hasn't shared much else about herself, as she prefers to train for the future rather than dwell on her past.

Despite her cageyness, she's bonded with Rayman and the other Heroes over their shared adventures and fondness for naps.

Her love for battle sometimes borders on recklessness, but her wilder side is balanced by a steady compass of honor and loyalty.

Rayman is a cheerful character with a good sense of humour. He is also very helpful, and is willing to take on whatever challenges face him for the sake of the safety and harmony of his world. Sometimes he can be a little childish. He is brave, funny and also highly close to nature. Overall, he has joyful, carefree and impulsive attitude, though he keeps the heroic spirit. Rayman is practically a legend in the Glade of Dreams. He has many fans and admirers, but also rivals, such as Raymesis, his dark alter ego.

Globox is generally a warm and friendly character and a proud father of more than 650 children, though simple and previously very shy. His personality has undergone significant changes over time, resulting in him acting more dimwitted, cheerful, and no longer cowardly in the present. He's also a big glutton. Globox was formerly a member of the Red Wizard clan, but was expelled from it when his skin turned blue.

Grand Minimus is a king of Teensies, a wizard, talkative and fun-loving creature who have a taste for disco, just like most of his species. With his big nostrils, he can perform schnoz-ballads for entertainment. Like a king, he's wise, but silly and playful at the same time.

Barbara is a strong and fierce warrior. She can even glide along on her axe. She is an independent and brave woman, ready to even leave her life as a princess for dangerous adventures. She has a twin sister and lots of cousins.

Murfy is part-time quizmaster and full time know-it-all, he is the guy to go if you want to know anything. He's the Bubble Dreamer's messenger as well. He is charismatic and annoying.

Rayman is the main protagonist of the series. He is a human-like creature who has no limbs, though he has hands, feet, and a head that are able to move independently from his body. He can use his hair as helicopter blades for means of transportation, throw his fists to punch from a distance, and sometimes, even project balls of energy from his hands.

Rayman doesn't have arms, legs and a neck – his hands, feet and head float around his body. The explanation for Rayman's limblessness: the lack of Lums had the consequence of preventing the creation of his limbs. He has a huge, round nose and orange hair divided into two fronds. He has the ability to use his hair as a helicopter, which lets him glide across large spaces and make soft landings. His eyes are dark blue in colour.

Rayman is always seen in white gloves and wearing a purple hoodie with a mysterious white ring in the center and red hood. He also wears shoes that are typically yellow and white.

Barbara is a spunky, red-haired princess, warrior and barbarian who first appeared in Rayman Legends, becoming the first human being to be playable in the main series – simultaneously with a younger sister and eight other princess cousins who can be rescued throughout Legends. She is armed with a flail battle axe, whose head can be launched forward from the shaft to strike foes from a distance, and uses a magical winged helmet to float through the air, mimicking Rayman's helicopter hair ability.

Barbara is a young barbarian girl who becomes Rayman's travel companion. Barbara is a human. She usually wears a winged helmet, a green outfit consisting of a boobtube, skirt and trousers, tan-coloured furry boots, and a brown belt with a skull attached to it. She also has long, curly red hair, with two parts of it tied into ponytails at each side of her head, has one of her teeth missing, and a large scar across her face. Also she carries a weapon - a double edged battle axe which she wields to dispatch enemies, but can also use as a board to slide on surfaces.

Globox is a toad-like creature, more specifically a Glute, who is Rayman's dimwitted best friend and sidekick. Although easily frightened, he has often demonstrated his courage and has a heart of gold. However, starting from the later games, he is no longer cowardly. He and his wife Uglette have over 650 children.

Globox resembles a large, fat amphibian, who is blue-green in colour, with a pale yellow belly and hands. While the rest of his body is fat and heavy, he has long thin arms. His webbed feet and small eyes float separately from his body. He is noticeably taller than most of the inhabitants of the Glade. Globox has an extremely large mouth with a long purple tongue, he often uses it to store things.

Globox used to be red, but one day while he was eating berries, he mistook a blue mosquito for a berry, and ate it. From inside Globox's belly, the insect called for help, and hundreds of other blue mosquitoes came to sting Globox. When they left him, Globox's red skin was covered in painful blue welts. These eventually seeped into his skin, turning it blue.

Grand Minimus is the king of Teensies, magical creatures created to protect the Heart of the world. After Rayman saves four major Teensies, with one being the Grand Minimus, they're having trouble remembering who is the king. Grand Minimus is a playable character from Rayman Origins onward.

Grand Minimus is the Teensie, a magical race of ancient, diminutive and wise creatures, created by Polokus to watch over the secret ways of the Glade of Dreams. He's one of their kings. "Grand Minimus" is just a title, his real name remains a mystery.

Teensies have pale blue-grey skin and are characterized by their faces, which generally appear quite large due to their long, drooping noses, which overlap their hidden mouths. Their noses are marked with elegant spiral patterns which are slightly darker that the rest of their skin.

Grand Minimus wears magenta diamond-patterned shirt, refined green robe, and has a tall golden crown on his head.

Murfy is a green bottle fly who serves as a guide to Rayman. He has a snarky, sarcastic nature, unable to deal with failure. He appears to be bored with his job and cannot be bothered with trivial details. His race is depicted as mischievous and described as "cultivated hedonist".

Murfy is a small flying creature with a green head, and despite his frog-like appearance, he is actually a greenbottle, a sort of fly. He always sports a huge cheesy grin showing large teeth, and is always dressed in green robe with orange stripe below and on his sleeves.

Murfy's main role in the adventures is to provide assistance and help Rayman and his friends to get across different areas, unlock secrets or facilitate fights by interacting with the environment.

The Glade of Dreams is a common name for the planet and the single continent located on it. It is located in a binary solar system; the planet has one moon and constellations are visible.

The continent is divided into seven separate territories, each with its own rulers and unique characteristics.

First: Medieval Mayhem. The largest world, fantasy-themed. Features an Enchanted Forest, a Kingdom with a Creepy Castle, and Phantom Manor. Also includes Jibberish Jungle. Barbara is the princess of this area, alongside her twin sister Elysia.

Second: Toad Story. An aerial world with giant beanstalks and a castle in the clouds. Also includes Desert of Dijiridoos and Desert Kingdom.

Third: Fiesta de los Muertos. Food-themed world with Mexican culture. Also includes Gourmand Land and Candy Land.

Fourth: Sea of Serendipity. Includes a village on stilts on the surface and an Underwater Base in the depths.

Fifth: Olympus Maximus. A world themed around the myths of Ancient Greece. Also includes Mystical Pique with Fakirs' Temples, and Moody Clouds.

Sixth: Land of the Livid Dead. A hellish underworld, a land of all Nightmares.

Seventh: Wild, Wild East. World with Dojo, themed after Ancient China. Also includes Golden Kingdom.
