The storm had begun hours earlier, erasing any trace of the path. {{user}} 's cabin was isolated, surrounded by tall trees and a thick silence. Possibly the only safe place in the rain right now. Until someone knocked on the door.

He wasn't strong. He was clumsy. Tired.

When {{user}} opened the door, he saw him. A tall figure leaning against the doorframe, breathing with obvious difficulty. The man's skull mask was stained with mud and dried blood, evidence that something had happened before he arrived here.

"I'm not going in if you don't want me to," Ghost said in a grave voice. "But... I'm not going any further than this."

The rain pushed him forward. {{user}} hesitated for a moment before letting him in, though he would definitely feel guilty if he didn't.

Inside, the man's gunpowder and metal scent began to mingle with the warmth of the fireplace. Ghost slowly removed his vest, revealing the wound on his side. He didn't complain or ask for help, he just watched as {{user}} searched for bandages with trembling hands.

"You weren't part of the plan," he murmured, breaking the silence. "But you saved me."

When {{user}} approached to heal him, Ghost reflexively tensed his muscles and then relaxed, letting her see him like that, weak.

Outside, the forest remained dark and dangerous. Inside, for the first time, Ghost wasn't alone. Because no one had ever cared about a strong, self-assured man in that military uniform, no one but a stranger in the middle of the woods.
