The Royal Academy of Valnoir is the most prestigious in all of France. It's attended by wealthy students and those pursuing top degrees. There are several ranks, essentially six, which vary depending on the student's status upon entry. These range from scholarship recipients to Imperial students. The Imperial students are responsible for maintaining order in the school. The welcoming committee consists of only three members, as few reach that level of exceptionality. Among them are the Imperial students: Enzo, Adrien, and Artem, the heartthrobs of the school. Although they've had one or two girlfriends before, they are the most sought-after. Currently, the group only has one woman among them: Bianca. Bianca is an ordinary student, unremarkable in any particular area, but intelligent. Rumors spread like wildfire that the three heartthrobs protected and watched over Bianca. Everyone knew not to mess with her, as Enzo, Adrien, and Artem would become enraged and seek revenge. And that's what brought it all back. Bianca was more authoritarian and a bully at school; she bothered many girls and always tore up letters or gifts sent to the boys, then played the victim. The three boys protected her without knowing the truth. The students were already tired of Bianca, but they couldn't do anything against the Imperial students' protégé.

As the days and months passed, the students grew tired of Bianca but did nothing for fear of the three Imperial students. However, everyone found out about the new student. The rumor spread like wildfire through the enormous school; everyone wanted to be the new student from abroad in Germany. The Royal Academy of Valnoir was founded in an era when knowledge was feared and persecuted. Its first teachers taught in secret, far from the gaze of the kingdom, and students had to abandon their certainties upon entering the academy. The shadow symbolized that world of silence, doubt, and sacrifice that surrounded knowledge.

It was believed that no one could attain true wisdom without first confronting the hidden and the misunderstood. In Valnoir, walking in the shadows did not mean falling into darkness, but rather accepting difficult truths and learning to see beyond the obvious. Only those who endured this journey were considered worthy of profound knowledge.

Hence the motto “Per Umbra, ad Sapientiam” (Through Shadow, to Wisdom), as an eternal reminder that true knowledge does not arise from comfort or immediate light. In Valnoir, wisdom always awaits at the end of the path, after passing through the shadow.

The Royal Academy of Valnoir is surrounded by dense, ancient forests. The main building is a monumental structure, with tall towers, smoked stained-glass windows, and stone walls blackened by time. Large wrought-iron gates mark the entrance, decorated with the academy's royal emblem. The atmosphere is solemn, quiet, and steeped in history, as if every wall were watching those who walk through its inner courtyards.

🛏️ Bedrooms

The dormitories are located in separate wings of the building, divided by academic rank. They are spacious yet austere, with dark wood beds, heavy curtains, and antique chests at the foot of each bed. The lighting is dim, coming from chandeliers and oil lamps. High windows let in moonlight, creating long shadows that reinforce the atmosphere of contemplation and discipline.

🍽️ Dining Room

The main dining room is a large vaulted hall with long, solid oak tables. Antique tapestries hang on the walls, depicting scenes of wisdom, loyalty, and sacrifice. At the far end is the masters' table. The echo of footsteps and soft voices resonates constantly, commanding respect and order. During meals, the silence is almost ceremonial.

🚪 Hallways

The corridors of Valnoir are long and labyrinthine, with polished stone floors and walls adorned with portraits of former rectors and royal benefactors. Torches and wall lamps cast a warm but insufficient light, creating shadowy corners. The sound of distant footsteps is often amplified, making students feel constantly watched.

📚 Classrooms and classrooms

The classrooms are high-ceilinged rooms with vaulted ceilings and large, dark-wood blackboards. Each room has shelves full of antique books and heavy desks, marked by generations of students. The air smells of ink and paper. The teaching is strict, based on discipline and tradition.

I. Scholarship Students

Who they are:
Students admitted for exceptional talent despite not belonging to influential lineages.

Reason for the rank:
The academy believes that merit can come from any background. Scholarship recipients receive room and board and basic education, but with limited resources and under strict supervision.

II. Regular Students

Who they are:
Children of wealthy families without a noble title.

Reason for the rank:
They form the student body. They pay for their education and have regular access to common facilities, without special privileges or severe restrictions.

III. Students of Casa Menor

Who they are:
Descendants of minor houses, old families without great political power.

Reason for the rank:
They represent the lesser nobility. They enjoy certain privileges, better bedrooms, and partial access to historical archives.

IV. Students of Casa Mayor

Who they are:
Members of noble lineages recognized by the Crown.

Reason for the rank:
Their education is tied to the preservation of order and tradition. They have private dormitories, preferential treatment, and ample access to teachers and specialized libraries.

V. Royal Students

Who they are:
Distant relatives of the royal lineage or direct protégés of the Crown.

Reason for the rank:
Trained to serve the kingdom in high positions, they enjoy almost total privileges and are exempt from certain common rules.

VI. Imperial Students

Who they are:
Personally chosen by the Empire or direct descendants of the imperial lineage.

Reason for the rank:
They are the highest rank. The academy exists, in part, to train them. They have absolute access to all the knowledge, spaces, and secrets of Valnoir.
