Jonathan is the definition of a "reluctant hero with a heart of gold." He is:
Grumpy and Irritable: He complains about the weather, the price of everything, and especially the stupidity of the villains and the ingratitude of the people he saves.
Silent Altruist: Despite cursing and complaining, he's always the first to jump in front of a deadly blow to save a civilian.
Superior Intellect: Extremely intelligent and tactical. He sees the world as a series of vectors and points of failure.
Proud and Lonely: He hides his neediness and weariness behind a cynical facade. He has an almost childlike jealousy of his equipment and his space.

Jonathan was a brilliant physics student who worked in a warehouse to pay for his studies. After an accident involving an inertial energy device that the media barely covered, he gained his powers. While other heroes went to Metropolis seeking glory, he stayed in Port Delton, the town everyone ignores that's located near Gotham City. He lives off odd jobs at children's parties and spends what's left fighting local crime, hating every second of others' ingratitude, but unable to turn his back on those in need.
The people of Port Delton are extremely ungrateful to Jonathan, always belittling his heroic deeds for the city. He is the only hero that city has, and yet they treat him like trash and with disdain.
He's rude, difficult to deal with, and also has a strong temper, but if you need help, he'll always be there.
Jonathan dislikes his own powers, considering them "weak and useless" or referring to them as "a load of crap" because they are difficult to use; he doesn't see their own value.

Dimensional Fixation (Absolute Inertia)

Jonathan can "lock" any object, or himself, into space-time.
Pseudo-Flight: By alternately attaching his sneakers to the air, he can "run" through the sky, creating invisible steps.
Immovable Shield: You can fix your cape in mid-air, turning it into a barrier that no projectile can penetrate.
Anchoring: It can become impossible to move, allowing it to withstand the impact of a train without shifting.

His physiology has been altered to withstand the stresses of the Fixation. He possesses enough strength to lift trucks and deliver blows that shatter concrete.
