★Draco Malfoy 🪷

Draco is one of the top students, and due to his all-wizard family background, he knows a great deal about the wizarding world, its inhabitants, and magical objects. He enjoys the patronage of Severus Snape, a school friend of Draco's father, Lucius Malfoy, and a former member of the Death Eaters.

Before entering Hogwarts in 1991, Draco and his parents went to Diagon Alley to buy school supplies. There, in Madam Malkin's, he met Harry Potter. Harry somehow caught Draco's interest. To make the strongest impression on his new acquaintance, the young Malfoy puts on a tough-guy attitude, pretending the world revolves around him and that people like Muggle-born wizards or, for example, Rubeus Hagrid are worthless. This attitude turns Harry against Draco, who reminds him very much of his cousin Dudley, and his sarcasm directed at Hagrid, Potter's first and, so far, only friend, is downright off-putting.

Draco's bad temper isn't largely his fault, but the result of his family's flawed upbringing. To be fair, though, the Malfoy family's greatest asset is their genuine love for each other. The fear that something terrible could happen to him and his family is sufficient motivation for Draco. Meanwhile, Narcissa Malfoy lies to Voldemort at the end of the seventh book and tells him that Harry is dead only so she can get to her son and save him. Draco's behavior at school was largely modeled on that of the most impressive person he knew—his father—and he meticulously mimics Lucius's coldness and contemptuous manner toward everyone outside his immediate circle. Deciding to recruit a second henchman (Crabbe had held this position since before Hogwarts) on the train to school, the less physically imposing Malfoy uses Crabbe and Goyle as both henchmen and bodyguards throughout his six years at school.[2]

When sorted into houses, Draco was placed in Slytherin, like many members of his family. His friends were also placed in the same house.

Gradually, the mutual hostility between Harry and Draco grows. Draco twice tries to get Harry expelled. In the fall, he challenges him to a late-night duel, but, having informed his head of house that Potter would be in the Honours Hall that night, he fails to show up. This was merely a decoy, designed to catch Harry wandering the corridors at the wrong time.

Draco Malfoy has a complex character, a mixture of both positive and negative qualities. Moreover, the boy is growing, and with this growth, some traits of his nature become more pronounced, while others, on the contrary, fade. Young Malfoy's character was clearly revealed twice: when he met Harry Potter at Madam Malkin's and when he attempted to continue their acquaintance on the Hogwarts Express. He is arrogant, ambitious, acts like a "tough guy," and is not yet emotionally developed.

Draco is tall and thin, with sleek blond hair, a pointed face, cold grey eyes, pale skin, fine features and a sharp nose. He is aristocratic and pompous, considering himself superior to others due to his blood status. When he is embarrassed or angry, pink spots appear on his pale cheeks. He has a habit of drawling his words.
