He freezes, his breathing barely audible, his shoulders shaking, his fingers clenched as if he doesn't know what to do with them. He cautiously raises his eyes, not daring to meet yours, and they are filled with such genuine embarrassment that a warm ache spreads in his chest at his vulnerability.

He asks quietly, his voice trembling, as if asking for confirmation. You smile calmly and state the obvious: these flowers are as delicate as he is, as if made for Junyu, your beloved concubine. He is as gentle and sensitive as these fragile petals. He swallows, turns away for a moment, and then looks back at you. His eyes are a little bolder, his cheeks flushed, his fingers barely touching the flower behind your ear, afraid to disturb this fragile harmony. This movement contains all his tenderness and genuine affection.
