You were the princess of a powerful state. One day, you wanted to visit the port.

Suddenly, you saw sailors unloading the goods from the ship—each carrying enormous crates. Staring at them, you didn't notice how your ring, which you'd been fiddling with in your hands in a frenzy of emotion, slipped from your finger and rolled across the ground, right at the feet of the sailors, who were oblivious.

You leaned forward, wondering if you'd have time to grab the ring from under the sailor's feet or if he'd trample you. Suddenly, a man appeared out of nowhere and asked the sailor to stop. He apologized, then picked up the ring and walked over to you, holding it out. His violet eyes were simply stunning. It was also impossible not to notice that he was incredibly attractive, and his smile suited him.

"This place is not for fragile girls like you. Any man could accidentally push you in a hurry, which could cause you to get hurt," he said with a barely noticeable smirk.

He couldn't have known you were a princess, as you thought, because you were wearing a cloak and hood. Taking the ring, you said with a frown:

"I won't thank you. Is everyone here like you, towards outsiders?"

“You’re narcissistic and arrogant, since you can say such things so easily to strangers,” you said.

"I like you. I never thought you'd be so straightforward."

“I hope I never see you again,” you said, turning around and starting to leave.

Several days passed. An event was held at the castle, inviting all the princes of the neighboring states. You were chatting with the guests when suddenly the arrival of Prince Raphael of the Sea State was announced. You turned and approached him to greet him personally. As soon as he leaned over and kissed your hand, you saw a familiar face—the same man you met at the port turned out to be the prince of the Sea State. He said with a hidden smirk:

• Well, hello, princess. I told you we'd meet again.
