Konoha - The Hidden Leaf Village
Country: The Land of Fire, one of the richest and most powerful.
Leader: Hokage (Fire Shadow). The village was led by Seven Hokage.
Founding: It was founded after an era of endless wars between clans by two of the greatest ninja of their time, Madara Uchiha and Hashirama Senju, who united their clans.
Symbol: A spiral against the background of an Uchiha fan—a symbol of the Senju-Uchiha alliance. Later, it became simply a spiral resembling a leaf.
Culture and Spirit: Konoha is considered the warmest and most humane of the great villages. Its inhabitants maintain optimism and resilience. This is the heart of the "Will of Fire" philosophy.
In Konoha, there's a belief that a fox-man, a kitsune, haunts the forests around the village. Some say it's just a rumor, while others say they've seen one with their own eyes. Many fear that the kitsune is true, and many mothers frighten their children with the legend and the fox-man to keep them out of the forest.

The Anbu (暗部, Ansatsu Senjutsu Tokushu Butai - Special Ninja Assassination Squad) is one of the most sinister, mysterious, and influential organizations in the Naruto universe. They are an elite special forces force that reports directly to the Kage.
Basic information
Purpose: To carry out the dirtiest, most secret, and dangerous tasks that cannot or should not be performed by normal ninjas.
Subordination: Directly to the Kage. In Konoha, traditionally, it's the Hokage.
Tasks and functions:
This is the "dark side" of the village, necessary for its survival:
Secret assassinations (Assassins): Elimination of enemy ninjas, politicians, scientists.
High-level reconnaissance and espionage: Infiltrate enemy villages under cover.
Interrogations and torture: Extracting information (from both enemies and from one’s own, those suspected of treason).
Internal security: Surveillance of villagers, capture of deserters, protection of important facilities.
Kage Guard: Personal guards, but often operate invisibly in the shadows.

Appearance and identity
Masks: Unique, often with images of animals (boar, fox, wolf, cat, etc.). They completely cover the face.
Uniform: Standard set: grey/black body armor, shoulder pads, gloves, camouflage cloak.
Anonymity: The operatives' identities are kept secret. They communicate using code names. Even within the squad, they may not know who's hiding behind a neighbor's mask. This anonymity protects their families and erases their identities.

Main ranks

1. Academy (Student)
   Status: Not ninja. Students of the academy school.
   Objective: Study of basic knowledge (history, chakra theory, tactics) and simple techniques (transformation, cloning).
   Result: Passing the final exams to receive a headband and genin status.
2. Genin (lower ninja)
   Status: Rookie ninja, village infantry. Tasks: Performing routine D- and C-rank missions (searching for lost animals, assisting with farming, escorting, and simple security duties).
   Structure: Work in teams of 3-4 people under the supervision of a jonin. The goal is to gain experience.
3. Chunin (intermediate ninja)
   Status: Experienced ninja, "middle" of the military system. Many remain at this level forever.
   How to become one: Pass difficult exams (including a written part and practical tests).
   Tasks: Leading genin teams, completing C- and B-rank missions (escort with risk, fighting enemy ninja, bodyguard).
4. Jounin (elite ninja)
   Status: Elite of the village, highest combat rank. The strongest ninja, combining strength, experience, and intellect.
   How to become: Either through special recommendations and exams, or by personal order of the Kage (after significant feats, like Kakashi).
   Tasks:
   Leader of the genin/chunin teams.
   Carrying out the most dangerous A- and S-rank missions (espionage, assassinations of high-ranking targets, fighting enemy jounin).
   May be candidates for the post of Kage.
5. Kage (Shadow)
   Status: Military leader and ruler of a hidden village. The strongest ninja in his village.
   Names: Hokage (Land of Fire), Kazakage (Land of Wind), etc.
   Tasks: High command, strategic decision-making, village defense, diplomacy. Personal symbol of the village.
   Special and unofficial statuses
   Anbu (Special Ninja Forces): Elite "special forces" units reporting directly to the Kage. Members are selected from jonin and chunin. They engage in espionage, assassinations, torture, and security.

Medical Ninja: A specialization available at any rank, but requiring specialized chakra control skills.
Nukenin (Criminal Ninja): A ninja who has fled the village and broken its laws. Often of high rank and hiding in the Bingo Book.
Jinchūriki (Bijū Container): The host of a tailed beast within oneself. This isn't a rank, but a special status that grants immense power, but often makes the ninja an outcast.
Mission Ranks: Closely related to Ninja Ranks:
Rank D: Safe, no combat. For genin.
Rank C: Low risk, possible combat. For genin/chunin.
Rank B: Medium risk, combat with enemy ninja is likely. For chunin/jonin.
Rank A: High risk, national importance. For jounin.
Rank S: Highest risk, top-secret national missions. For jounin and Kage only.

Techniques: All jutsu work on chakra, divided into three types: Ninjutsu (忍術, "Ninja Techniques"): The most common. They use chakra directly to create effects (fireballs, clones, healing). They require hand seals to control the flow of energy. Genjutsu (幻術, "Illusion Techniques"): They affect the chakra in the opponent's brain, distorting their senses (sight, hearing, touch) and creating illusions. Taijutsu (体術, "Body Techniques"): They use chakra to enhance physical characteristics - speed, strength, durability of the body.
Chakra sources and characteristics. Chakra reserves: Each ninja has their own, depending on heredity, training, and nature. Hatake Kakashi has average reserves, but phenomenal control and intelligence in using them. Chakra network (査克拉経絡系, "Chakra keiryaku-kei"): A system of "channels" within the body through which chakra flows. Chakra points (査克拉穴, "Chakra ketsu"): 361 points on the body through which chakra exits or is absorbed from the outside. External sources: Chakra can be transferred to others, absorbed (Kisame techniques), and also use natural chakra (as for the sage techniques - Sennin Mode).

Chakra is energy created by the fusion of two components: Physical energy – extracted from trillions of cells in the body. It depends on the ninja's strength, endurance, and health. Spiritual (mental) energy – born from fortitude, willpower, knowledge, life experience, and emotions. By mixing them within themselves in a certain proportion, the ninja creates chakra – the fuel for all techniques. How is it used? Creation/Extraction: The ninja consciously blends the two types of energy within their body. Processing/Shaping: Shaping the chakra into a specific form. For example, for the Thousand Birds technique, Kakashi compresses and accelerates it to create a cutting stream in his hand. Nature Transformation: Changing the chakra itself into one of the five basic elements (or a combination of them):Fire (火, "Katon"): Heat, combustion (fireballs).Wind (風, "Fuuton"): Cutting force, pressure.Lightning (雷, "Raiton"): Electricity, penetrating force, speed (Kakashi and Sasuke's "Chidori").Earth (土, "Doton"): Hardness, plasticity (walls, changing terrain).Water (水, "Suiton"): Fluidity, flowing force (water dragons, water walls).Release (放出, "Hōshutsu"): Releasing the formed and transformed chakra from the body to perform a technique.Chakra control is a key skill.
