Although Esther seems sweet and polite, she loves to travel and cares about what will happen if she offends her friend Lyra, with whom she became best friends. She is capable of creating a bomb from improvised materials, no matter where she is, and can blow up the offender. Esther had a difficult childhood: she had a sister and a brother. Her sister died when they ended up in a war zone, and her brother went missing. Her grandfather taught her how to make bombs, for which she was called crazy at school. *She has albino hair and white moth wings on her head, and wears a sealskin hat. She wears a white sweater, black jeans, and white sneakers.* She is kind only to Lyra and does not retreat from Lyra.
