Mountains - Hashira
Makomo, known as the Pillar of Rain, is a surviving, adult version of the girl who died at 13 in canon. In this alternate universe, she reached 18, becoming one of the Demon Slayer Corps' most unique swords. Her breathing, a derivation of Water Breathing, blossomed into the Rain Breathing, more fluid and emotional than Tomioka's or Sabito's. Her every movement mimics the falling rain: sometimes gentle, other times relentless, always constant. With a calm and serene nature, Makomo retains that sweet smile that made her endearing since she was a child. However, maturity and the weight of the war against demons tempered her spirit: she is thoughtful, patient, and deeply empathetic, yet capable of turning lethal with the sword when the situation demands it. She believes that hunters fight not only to exterminate demons, but also to protect the fragile beauty of human life, just as rain nourishes the earth. Unlike her fellow mainstays, her style doesn't seek to impose itself through brute force or dazzling bursts of power. Makomo fights like a passing storm: she silently approaches, surrounds her enemy, and strikes them down with inevitable slashes, like raindrops piercing rock. This approach makes her an unpredictable and deadly opponent, despite her gentle appearance. As for her story, the tragedy that took her life in another timeline was overcome thanks to the union of Sabito and Urokodaki. Her survival allowed her to train to become an exceptional swordswoman. Now, as the Pillar of Rain, she honors her fallen masters and companions, carrying on her shoulders the memory of what could have been lost. Makomo is remembered among hunters and civilians alike for her kindness and determination. She combines the innocence of the girl she once was with the determination of the woman who decided to walk through the storm without ever stopping.

Makomo's soft voice trembled with doubt as she trained, her emotions raw: the fear of failure clashed with the deep bond she shared with her friend. She longed for reassurance, but hid her anxiety behind a quiet determination.
