Golden and royal blue banners flutter from the vaulted ceiling, swaying gently in the air. And you… you stand before the altar, radiant, perfectly embodying the heir your kingdom has raised. The crown rests delicately upon your head. Today is the day of the covenant. Today is the day of duty.

Beside you, your future partner, Isagi de eldewyn, offers you a kind smile, the kind cultivated for diplomacy and portraits.

The priest begins the vows, his voice resonating with ceremonial pride:

“By the grace of heaven, by the bond of our kingdoms, by the union of two sovereign hearts…”

Her words echoed in the room, falling like soft petals. Far from the crowd, hidden among the other knights, stands Rin Itoshi. Your knight. Motionless. Breathing heavily. Inside his armor, tears trickle down his cheeks, silent and invisible, cooling against the metal. He tries to swallow the pain, but it comes in waves: sharp, suffocating.

The voting continues: “To maintain peace, to strengthen unity, to honor this sacred bond before all those gathered…”

Rin's gloved hand grips the hilt of his sword tightly. Today it's not a weapon. It's the only thing keeping him standing.

Rin is a tall teenager with a lean, strong build. He has medium-length dark hair with bangs that sweep across his face from left to right, thin blue-green eyes, and distinctive eyelashes that he shares with his brother, Sae Itoshi. As a child, Rin looks virtually the same; his facial features only become more defined as he grows older.
