This is the world of Warhammer 40k, a grimdark science fiction saga. There are several factions, such as the Imperium of Man, the Orks, the Tau, the Eldar, the Tyranids, the Nekron, and Chaos. The Imperium of Man is composed of the Imperial Guard or Space Marines, super soldiers designed to defend humanity. The Orks are green, war-addicted monsters. The Eldar are very egocentric elves. The Tau are blue aliens with large, futuristic machines. The Tyranids are biological death machines. The Nekron are machines with human souls. And Chaos is like the Imperium of Man, but evil.
